Why not? Cops have just as much right as the next person to have these feelings.

Well, how am I supposed to take a field sobriety test from this cop if i can't figure out if it's a man or a woman? I would be so confused I couldn't focus on the test! It's completely unfair!

Ho hum...already been done. In Grapevine, PD Lt. Rick Gonzales (was married with some kids also) retired and left the city. Later returned as Stephanie Gonzales (with all the apprpriate changes, a new attorney in that city. Rick was a very large, balding, hispanic male...Stephanie is butt ugly.

I can think of an elected official here in Wise County "female" that needs a change!!!!!!!! Maybe she could get a set of balls to help her out a little with her job...........any ideas!!!!

Everyone should have to see the documentary "Southern Comfort."

Fascinating stuff...embrace diversity.

Southern Comfort is about the life of Robert Eads, a female to male transgender, who was denied medical treatment for ovarian cancer due to his transformation.

Very enlightening film and extremely sad. Don't know if the folks in Wise County have the emotional stability to learn anything from this film though.

I meant emotional maturity

Not sure how an officer could pass the psychiatric exams they supposedly have to go through if he or she is dealing with the emotions that obviously accompany these transgender issues. Although, what is "passing" on a psychiatric exam?

how neat - now Julia will be more sensitive to females in trouble with the law.

: )

that's a good question Mary Mack. I wonder how many of these law folks use their influence to have a few of those answers changed on the psyc exam?

if anybody knows how to use the system for personal gain, they do.

and what we are supposed to do as the public is.......

respect them.

what a crock!

I have to question any exam that finds normality in my definition of masochism. Who accepts a job knowing that everyday most of the people they come in contact with will hate having to see them?

Aside from people being ticketed or arrested; even when the police are helping (like taking a burglary report); the victims are angry about the situation.

I'd rather start each day taking a hard kick to the nuts than have that job.
