I might have snuck over to Channel 5 to watch some of the Britney Spears interview by Matt Lauer last night. Verdict: Good stuff. From the flashbacks of "how she used to be" to her wheels off, crying, gum chewing, "I just want the press to leave me alone" present day self.
But the easiest conclusion is that Matt Lauer is great at what he does.
Edit: And where were Matt's socks?

She is country. People expect her to aspire to be more or other than country, but that's who she is. It's not an indictment. Being a big time Metroplex dweller is no better life than being a country bumpkin, and vice versa. In the end it's who's around us, family, comfort level. She's just out of her element, put there by pushy parents in the beginning, greedy people from then on, movie star punks that just wanted to bone her, and it went from there. She will not be happy until she takes her millions and goes back to live happily ever after in a place she can be comfortable.

I think everyone needs to leave Brittany alone. She is right...she is human and people need to respect that.
I agree, 10:14AM. Everyone should leave her alone - stop buying her CD's and stop watching her videos. She doesn't want your money any more.
I love Britney, and YES I watched every second of that interview. There's just a sweetness about her that makes you want to protect her. One thing though, what the hell was she wearing? Also, the big clump of mascara on her right eye was driving me crazy, but I still love her.
Can't she spit out the gum for a few minutes for the interview? And maybe re-paint her nails? It's not like she didnt know she was going to be on national television.

She is living proof that the US is full of people dumber than her. Just look at her album sales. Those are the true suckers.
11:00 you are so right on...funny how they don't like the press when they "make it". After they make all the money they want to be left alone. I agree she should have some privacy, but c'mon, everyone that aspires to be a "famous" person has to know the LACK of privacy that comes with it...
Leave me alone, but could you do a primetime special about me so I can have more publicity?
