Yes, you are still in Texas, however I'm not sure the DMN editorial board is. Maybe they have even less sense than the Messenger's editorial board.

Dallas should be rezoned like the Crestview Apartments. Location wise it doesn't make any sense but then, there are some non-sensical people among us.

Good for the DMN editorial board! What 8:17 a.m., do you have so little sense that you don't think there are gays in Texas? The legislature should worry about school finance and renovating our property tax laws, and leave legislating personal freedom restrictions alone.

I agree with anon 8:50 - the Texas Legislature needs to get with the program on important issues for the citizens of Texas.

And speaking of our brilliant Texas government (mostly Republicans).....they need replacing!

To 8:50

I know there are homosexuals in Texas. The fact is homosexuality is a destructive lifestyle and shouldn't be encouraged or given privelages. Marriage is union sanctioned by God. There is no question that it is advantageous for children to be raised in a family in which the father and mother are present.

Besides, what is next if homosexuals are given privelages and status reserved for traditional households? Would you extend those same "rights" to pedophiles or people that practice beastiality?

8:50 you are so right!! This is just our inept legislature grandstanding...maybe they should leave it up to the courts like they did education finance. They are such cowards. It is time to vote them out!

Homosexuality should not be confused with marriage. Generations of the past were intelligent enough not to associate the two. It is a pity that we must try to legislate common sense now.

Anon 3:40....you're right. The common sense part? Well, I think that's the problem these days......everyone has too many "feelings" and "issues" to have any common sense. =)
