It's kind of odd to see footage of the trial on TV. It looked like Saddam was inside a baby's playpen. I guess that's kind of symbolic in a country that's never had to try people for crimes. In the past their trial consisted of Saddam saying, "You're guilty, now you must die. Kill them!!" In hearing of all the courtroom confusion, we realize that they must take baby steps in this new judicial process. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
anon 2:51 Good job ..... very astute. I said on this blog several months ago how Junior was invading Iraq for no reason other than to bail out Daddy who failed to oust Saddam when it was, arguably, the right thing to do during the first Gulf War. Wake up America!
