I am suprised that on a bus full of Newarkians a tooth got chipped. That is some long odds right there!!!

If Rhome had a paid fire department the tooth would have been rescued!

I'm still here, Kat.

plane hitting the car at the Roanoke airport

So, who was at fault? The moron driving across the approach to the runway with a plane coming in or the moron flying the plane trying to land on the first 3 inches of runway?

The plane/car wreck thing brings up something I saw the other day. The signs they have on 407 that say "Low Flying Aircraft". This has to be the stupidest sign ever. If airplanes are routinely low enough over this stretch of road that I have to watch out for them I think there are bigger problems. They could at least put a sign facing the sky that says, "Pull Up"!

Newark is where the toothbrush was invented.

Parents need to realize their kids are being driven to school by a foreign company (Durham) as the lowest bidder to Northwest ISD. Other schools have not chosen this route, as a result the employees have a decent retirement, unlike the Durham drivers who are paid so low that they cannot afford to fund their 401K. This is the same company that refused to fix an exhaust leak on their bus at NHS, and a student got Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Durham's response was to buy a walmart Carbon Monoxide detector. Many of these students who ride the bus are special needs FYI and cannot communicate verbally when they encounter these dangers.. They rely on bus monitors who are grossly underpaid. The NISD board only cares about being the richest school, and not about the students safety.

Durham - keeping Newark economy rolling!

11:49 - I'm curious what your stake in the matter is. Parent? Teacher? Bus driver?

11:49, are you one of the drivers who lost the union election? Sour grapes, maybe?!?!

Speaking of unions: Non union electrical workers that volunteered to go to NE to help with Sandy reconstruction were told to go home. Since they are not union, they were not allowed to work on the sites.

Who are we trying to help there, the unions or the people?

Unions suck.

2:41, They didn't want to see their union men get completely outworked and outclassed. The worst thing to a union worker is someone who will bust his butt and get his work done.

2:41, They know the IBEW does it right unlike the scabs.

11:49 hates kids.

Non union electricians cant afford NY, they stay in OK.

12:21, someone who is tired of seeing these people drag in single wides next to my 300K house because the school is cheaper than WalMart on wages. They cant afford real homes like people who arent contractors.

Stupid NW Durham drivers. They didn't want better wages and insurance, Weatherford did, but hey, we are talking wise county right? Their choice to be poor.

5:08 - You live in a $300k house surrounded by single wides occupied by school bus drivers? Where the hell do you live?

Wooden teeth can chip...?

Look at 2264. It's Durham double wide housing.

My son-in-law was a member of IBEW and all they did for him was take part of his paycheck each week. He had insurance but his family could not be covered, when work was slow, he was given about $50 a week to feed his family of 6, when laid off, they did nothing to help him find another job. He is now non-union and doing better than ever. My experience with unions are that they are greedy and care only about the union, not the members or their families.

12:41, then he needs to find a better employer that is IBEW. 50 is better than 0 fyi. Great think about the IBEW is you can go anywhere, and have a pension unlike his non union employer. So many people claim to be doing great, then you see them at 65 saying "Shit, I should have got on at Bell when you told me 20 years ago, I'd uh had a retirement".
