I am the absolute definition of middle class and Obama has done nothing for me. His healthcare policy will actually cost me $1000 pretax in 2013 because he lowered the FSA contribution from $3500 to $2500 with the AHA. This hurts, especially with the lax economy and inflation. I have a special needs child so it was really nice to have that money set aside up front each year. His policy has also put on hold an opportunity for me because his regulators are holding up a planned facility that my company was going to build in a battleground state--purely political and not "green" related(not oil and gas industry either). That was about 30K more a year.....so I would say he has impacted my life in a very bad way. No doomsday talk here, just a real life, factual account of Obama's policy impact on the middle class. It will be interesting to see what he does with the fiscal cliff....a cliff I cannot afford to go over.

It takes resolve, honesty, hard work and good choices to be one of us....inevitable that our numbers would shrink when the government guarantees a huge safety net for anyone who is too lazy to work, gets pregnant on accident all the time, or makes bad financial decisions.
