I teach high school (one with 50% on free lunch) and you see the same mentality. If there is a fight everyone gathers around like it's entertainment. No one tries to stop it. I've had to throw students out of the way to get through the mob to reach those that are actually fighting. The world is spiraling down the toilet while we watch.
