I'll be hanging around here tonight for the Wailing and Gnashing of Teeth. If I remember four years ago, the race got called at 9:00 p.m. our time once most of the western states officially closed their polls. But unless Colorado and Nevada are needed, we should be able to figure it out before then.

I know it is a waste of Barry's time to post this, but let me explain one more time what he has been telling the obtuse citizens on this blog for months: The White Man ain't in charge of this country anymore. You have age groups, racial groups, gender groups, socio-economic groups, etc. And until you learn that some way, somehow we ALL have to find some way to work together for the common good of us ALL, then NOTHING WILL CHANGE!!! When Obamacare kicks in, he has to deal with all the fallout when doctors don't take Medicare patients, hospitals close (like Bridgeport going bankrupt) health care premiums keep rising and medicaid increases.
The EPA will unleash more regulations to stop coal, natural gas and oil development forcing continued high gasoline prices and higher utility costs.
As the debt soars, the dollar will continue to lose value while more people will be forced into poverty and more added to food stamps.
Our military will be cut, Iran will continue to develope a nuclear weapon while the Muslim Brotherhood gains more power in the Middle East.
We are a divided nation; the heartland and the states dependent on handouts from the government.
Where will we be in 2016? It depends on Congress and the minority in the Senate. We are in for a lot of pain before we change course, if we ever do!

A good point that I thought was missing from most news networks, was that of all the 50 states, those with a (leaning) conservative majority,(repub, or dems...and yes, there is such a thing as a conservative dem..) had more stable budgets, and economy than those ran by overly liberal majorities or overly conservative majorities. Far left, and Far Right, are equally bad......those that can meet in the middle are those who get things done.
I felt that according to both platforms, both candidates were in favor of bi-partisan politics, and both would be able to reach common ground. Each in their own area of expertise.

Thanks, but I could not get elected. First, I do not believe that Big Business will cure all the nations problems if we just turn them loose. History teaches us that. Secondly, in Wise County, you have to run in one party, and no one can get elected as a moderate independent, and certainly not as a Democrat. There are too many "sheep" who follow a few "shepards" and vote "Tea" or a straight ticket (see Tom Bishop Elected Constable), and I refuse to accept the mantra of the 21st century Republican Party. Thirdly, I would compromise and negotiate to a workable, acceptable solution, but the attitude "Let's compromise and do it MY way" is not acceptable. And that is what the Texas, and Wise County Republican Party is all about.
