And some elected official from Clarendon needs to hand-write an apology & hand deliver it to Peggy. Simple research request that got the quick shuffle. She deserved more.
And until he does, he needs to get that question at every constituent meeting.

Sadly, I wish I could believe that your attempt at righteous indignation was motivated by your patriotism and recognition of the rare qualities of character and selfless sacrifice of Mr. and Mrs. Harris, instead of the fact that the politician (lawyer who can't get a real job)happens to have an R after his name.
As little as our public servants are really in their office and as removed as they are from actual constituents, I'm sure some grunt in his office took the initiative to answer for Thornberry while he played golf. What a way to end a political career!
What an outstanding lady is all I am able to say.
When red tape is involved and you are searching for the truthful answer, you have to locate someone who has all the answers and you have to ask the right question. I am quite sure there are many lists of lost soldiers, but not one has all the names,places, etc.
So apparently somebody found the list her husband was on. I have an uncle buried there too. So sad they could not have been sent back home..never understood why not.

On a different note, our political system is broke and needs to be totally revamped. Most politicians are self-serving people that could not make it in the private job market.
