Man, I'd be scared to drive one of those things.
(Thanks, Becky.)

That's a cute car, Skippy. You could put it in your purse. And you would be saving the environment from global warmism. It's the socialist liberal weenie way. Coming soon to a James Wood's Dealership near you.
Why do so many Americans seem to insist upon huge vehicles? You see very large pickups, Hummers, Suburban's etc. all around us - with only a driver aboard. The safety issue is a bit one-sided as these vehicles are a THREAT to others driving less armored cars. If size was the criteria, we should all be driving Kenworth tractors. These little cars are the norm in Europe - and most of them are able to survive. Why are so many here so fearful on the road that they have a need to drive tanks?
In many communities outside Texas there are many Smart Cars and this one is a Scion (toyota's cheaper cars). They get 30 - 40 MPG and are actually safe.....if you are not driving on Texas Hwy's with Rock Trucks....
Last time I checked we still live in the USA and have the choice of what we drive. That said, if Nobama gets his way we will all be driving one of these.
Drove my Aunt's new smart car in Florida a month or two ago. It was fun, comfortable and I felt safe. That being said....I wouldn't drive one here in Wise county because of the aforementioned rock trucks....had one of them pass me on 287 this morning going more than 80!
To anonymous 12:00 - I love my big SUV. And if you must know, I haul my kids, their friends, a huge dog, cheerleading gear, sports gear, and many other things around all the time. The great thing about America, at least last time I checked, is that YOU can drive what YOU want. Although the liberals want to change that too.
One day we will all drive something such as this. Look at what cars looked like in the 50s and 60s vs. now. Doesn't matter what the simpletons on this blog feel about Obama and the libs, just how the decreasing supply of petroleum will have on what we choose to drive.
"...decreasing supply of petroleum..." If you define supply as what Liberals allow the rest of us to have. It's comforting that there is a group of people so much smarter than the rest of us who will -- for a price -- take care of us.
Hey, I'm a liberal and I wouldn't make any of you drive this car. In fact, I don't care what you drive. Just like you shouldn't care who gay people marry. Or what I want to do with my fertile lady bits. See? If everybody minds their own beeswax, we'll all get along just fine.
This CHICK drives a big ol F350 dually, 4x4 crew cab! And why 12:00pm wants to know? Because I live on a ranch, haul trailers, hay, cattle etc. You see, I live in a county where we need somethinbg to haul the whole cow, not just a little piece of him all wrapped in styrafoam and cling wrap home from the store. Maybe you should move to Europe if you like all those little cars on the road and their safety.
8:45 - There are plenty of large trucks in Europe. They're useful for working people like yourself. The point 12:00 was making is we seem to have an excess of huge vehicles that carry only the driver. Maybe these big cars make up for small minded drivers. I'll bet those little cars are easier to park, too.
It seems for it's size it should get a lot better gas mileage. More like 50, 60 or 70 mpg. A lot of mid-sized sedans get low 30's and the Jetta mpi gets around 50 mpg. Doesn't seem worth it for the cost, the uncomfortable midget size and not that good of mpg.

Slow news day.............

One thing about it, if you have a wreck, you can wear it home
Don't ya just expect to see a bunch of clowns come bailing out of one of those little things?????????

12:00
Go ahead and go to Europe. We big ones were here 1st.
12:07 That is NOT an xA, it's a Smart, it's been in Decatur for awhile. I have also spotted a yellow one many times on 51.
Choice? Not so much as you seem to think, comrade.
Oh and when (not if) gasoline goes to 4-6 bucks, your "choice" will be a contributing factor
"They said take what you need and leave the rest, but we should never have taken the very best"
New malibu gets 33 mpg with comfort and safety.
I saw one of those smart cars get smashed between two 18 wheelers. It looked like someone stomped a beer can.
It's what the Libs would make you drive if they had final say about it.

How do you feel like a man driving something like that?
It is what we will all be driving if we dont soon find an alternative fuel source.
At some point the Chinese will out bid us at the market.
But lets not get in a hurry!
1:42,
Right, except for Algore and the liberal elite. They would still use their private jets and stretch limos.

Ha, he said,"Big ones."

I'll bet if you drove it into wally world for a shopping cart al least one wheel would wobble and lock up.
