This is everything that has gone wrong with the world. The c.s. reporter did jump him, that's assault. But once it started, everyone should have simply let them square off. My money would have been on the neighbor. At least I want to be on his side when civil war breaks out. Wait, was he a black man? Damn, how's that gonna work?
He can borrow my truck to clean out the whole mess of them. The prick in the yellow shirt could'nt take it face up.The media is desperate to even show any more of this baloon s--t.People are sick of the media.DAGO
my impression of this is the neighbor was trying to leave and de-escalate the situation when a reporter attempted to get his attention and was standing dangerously close to the moving vehicle. The neighbor exited the vehicle to see what the reporter wanted and they moved out of the roadway to have their conversation when yellow shirt guy attacked the neighbor without provocation. The neighbor in a further attempt to resolve the situation attempted to talk yellow shirt out of continuing the assault but yellow shirt began calling for his associates to join into the melee. Neighbor, in fear of his life, had to step up his defense and the mob seeing that he was no longer a passive victim, held back.
Have you all noticed that we all refer to "them" as the "media" now, not "journalists"? When you think about it, the popularity of calling them "media" indicates this--"they" are more about entertainment and ratings than accurately and fairly reporting the facts about a story--and we all realize that now.
Tragically stupid. I feel for the neighbor. But just why in the world were there any "media" there at all? This was a silly hoax - why give them the coverage they so soundly didn't deserve?

I can understand his anger. I'm glad he punched that reporter - the reporter attacked him first.

The ole handle with care technique didn't work so well.
