It isn't talk radio!
It hasn't been talk radio since Reagan and the Republicans turned the ideologues, freaks and religious nut-balls loose on the country!

Anonymous said...

I love watching the right-wingers squirm from things like this.

Anonymous said...

WTF!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Sure am glad the American people are so open minded...This country was founded on the belief that one could worship as they please. Let's give our respect to those who choose a different religion than our own. Nothing wrong with what they are doing...

And I am from Wise County!

Anonymous said...

I promise to be open minded until the radical members of a given religion begin trying to kill me because MY religion is different from theirs...

oh wait! they've already started that..

Anonymous said...

WTF is right! Thanks to our muslim/muslim loving president. What is this, the middle east?

Anonymous said...

Speaking from the right wing of Wise County, more power to them.

The country can use all the prayers they generate.

Just as long as they are not praying for more planes flying into buildings.

Fella named Denis Diderot once said: "Mankind shall not be free until the last king is strangled in the entrails of the last priest."
I tend to agree.

Anonymous said...

9:53 - I'm right there with you on this! THIS is the one "religion" that has members who seek to destroy America. When they come in mass to Washington it's not to pray but to make a statement.

Anonymous said...

News flash to the liberal, "you're all a bunch of hill-billies and I'm a whole lot smarter than you" crowd:

Islam is a religion of peace only if you're a muslim.

their holy book requires that they kill you if they can't convert you.

they've already started trying to kill you..

They should be allowed to have their "day of unity" but I'm not required to like it.

Don't call me a bigot just because I haven't forgotten 9-11, the USS Cole, the Kobar towers, etc...

Anonymous said...

Say, I've always wondered. Just what does WTF mean? I believe I've figured out what the last word is but the W and the T have me puzzled?
Is it "What The" or "Want To"?

Anonymous said...

Its not talk radio – its rant radio.

And by the way what deity did Timothy McVeigh pray to? He was a self-professed Christian. Maybe we need to worry less about the Religion and focus more on the individual radical followers.

Anonymous said...

Time to nuke DC???

Anonymous said...

Good, one more reason to drop an FAE over the place.

9:53 and 10:02.
"I promise to be open minded until the radical members of a given religion begin trying to kill me because MY religion is different from theirs...

oh wait! they've already started that.."

So radical Christians have never killed Muslims? Radical Christians have killed people throughout history in order to "convert" them. Isn't the basic tenant of Christianity to convert all nations (with people like yourself promoting violence as the best method of conversion)? Long before 9/11, our "Christian" nation has been screwing over Muslim countries. But for many simpletons, written history didn't start until that day.

I've got an idea. Why don't all you Christians pray for peaceful coexistence with Muslims (all things are possible with God, right?). Then forgive any Muslim that has harmed any Christian (Bin Laden first). After all, if you want Christ's forgiveness, then you have to forgive others. Practice what you preach, hypocrite!

The older I get the more I believe transcription errors have occurred at critical places in both the human genome and the Christians understanding of the Bible.
It becomes clearer with each passing year that man has indeed created God in his own image and that we are increasingly displaying the traits usually ascribed to sheep!
Please do me a favor and read the preceding with care. Note that I have not denied the existence of God, nor of Christian dogma.

Have either of ya'll ever heard of the Christian Crusades? I do believe there were a lot of people who lost their lives because they where not Christians...You two are either completely stupid or just dumb. Yes, the crusades where meant to take control of the holy land, and yes they did kill muslim believers. Do you believe every Christian is a terrorist? Ignorance is not an excuse!

And I am a true Christian!

Anonymous said...

Lord have mercy!! None of the big three religions are religions of peace!!
If you doubt that, just read this blog!!

Anonymous said...

10:23, and the Christians took control. um, you wanting Musleums to now take control of our country?

Christianity preaches peace and love, not infidils and hate.

Anonymous said...

10:20. Wow. You're right to a certain extent, but Christianity became civilized oh several hundred years ago. The radical Muslims are still acting like this is the Crusade days all over again, except with modern air planes.

Anonymous said...

The Muslims don't even have to resort to violence, they've been quietly breeding us out for years. Research how the modern cultures are dying out due to low birth rates, except the Muslims. They have one of the largest birth rates and are taking over the world, lol, culturally speaking that is.

I'm sorry but this ones to easy and there is way to many people that will call me racist for my opinion on this. I wonder if people got called racist for speaking their opinions on the british during the revolutionary war or for there opinion on Japanese during WWII.

Anonymous said...

see u at the pole!

Anonymous said...

Tolerance of all beliefs...isn't that a basic tenet of our country? At least I thought that was the case, or is it only limited to those religions we personally espouse?

Anonymous said...

Wonder if there will be any humus there...that stuff is good!

Anonymous said...

Jim,
It's like this. You are what you are. That isn't the question. It's what you do with what you have that tells WHO you are.
We're all "racist" to some degree, it's how we deal with it that's important.
It's also going to be a big part of your grade when the course we call life is finished.

Anonymous said...

"do believe there were a lot of people who lost their lives because they where not Christians..."

Many, many problems with this argument for starters 1) But, they WERE Muslim and Muslims and the Catholic Church were at war (one the Muslims started- if it matters) 2) It was the Catholic Church- an out of control demagogue of religious statism NOT Christianity. 3) This all transpired um what, 500 years ago?

Furthermore, I'm an extreme darwinist and fervently believe in survival of the fittest. It is becoming increasingly obvious that this planet cannot support and endless number of our species (or any other).

Thus there must be an elimination at some point. All niceties aside, if the question is them or me, I'm going with me and you feel-good pansies can bleed your liberal hearts right out of my way and leave me and my kind to insure the survival of the species.

Listen, chief, I'm sure you had some kind of a valid point in there somewhere, but I seriously doubt anybody was accusing the British of being racist during the American Revolution. You see, the opposing sides in that conflict were probably 95% white Anglo-Saxon Protestants, so race was not a factor at all.
But keep up those great posts!

12:16-- You soooo missed an otherwise perfectly good joke.

Anonymous said...

Hey 10:46 and 11:29, both Christians and Muslims have proven to be capable of extreme acts of violence over the years. There is plenty of blood on everybody's hands.

Christ preached non-violence. But the church is made up of fallible human beings that (while trying to be Christ-like) are still capable of horrendous acts. That doesn't make Christianity bad or wrong. Human beings will always screw up.

I don't know much about Islam. But I've known several Muslim people over the last 10 years. From what I see, the average Muslim wants the exact same things out of life as the average Christian. Bin Laden is/was an extremist. He is more like extremist Christians (willing to use violence as a means to an end) than he is like typical Muslims. Stop stereotyping an entire group of people by the actions of a small minority.

BTW, where is MzChief in all this? Is she taking the day off?

From a TV show last night:
Clueless dad who thinks he is up on all the abbrev. on IM and twitter thinks WTF stands for Why The Face?

And this is an old line, but why is the word abbreviation so !@#$ long?

Plus, after that comment at 11:32 by whatever that person is calling himself, I bet old Denis Diderot is rolling over in la terre. And I bet Chuck Darwin isn't resting that comfortably either, having his name associated with an extreme survivalist.
Dude, stop using Darwinism as a cover, and just come right out and say you have a hankerin' for murder. Not even baling wire and duct tape could hold those two things together!

For those of you who don't believe there will be a few in attendance to strictly make plans for another attack, your crazy!

Anonymous said...

you're paranoid, 1:47. People could be planning attacks everywhere all day long....I figure the best answer is just go on living till you die and stop worrying so much about the "what-ifs"!

Course an attack might interrupt all you guys' sports watchin' and would sure bother my dancing with the stars for a week or so!

10:20,

Yes, Christians have killed people in the name of religion.. and usually in the wrong.

I was really talking about things that have happened, oh.. say, in the last several hundred years!

Your vague, generalized ramblings about "radical Christians have killed people throughout history... blah blah blah..." is typical.

Why don't you just plainly say what you feel? -"That America got what it deserved from those Muslim folks on 9-11 and it's all our fault."

If we relied on people like you to "grab a rifle and stand a post," we, as a collective, would be up $h!t creek!

Maybe I'm a "simpleton," but you're the one who just can't get the fact that they don't want to kill me because I'm a Christian, they want to kill BOTH of us because WE'RE NOT Muslim!

You also need to show me where there is any advocacy of violence in my statement at 9:53! But why worry about accuracy and facts now?! You haven't so far!

Anonymous said...

10:23,

Yet another liberal wuss brings up the crusades!!

They had nothing to do with converting anyone!! It was a 200 year war over real estate (Jerusalem) that started over 1000 years ago (1076).

Name the last time a Christian hijacked an airplane and flew into a building or strapped a bomb on their chest and walked into a crowded pizzaria in Tel Aviv to set it off.

better yet, show me in the New Testament where it tells me to KILL ANYONE I can't convert..

What's so hard for you libs to understand?

Not embracing their religion doesn't mean I'm advocating extermination.. but I don't have to stick my hand to the stove twice to know it's hot!

Hell I nurly kilt my ole lady in the name of Falstaff on night.

According to the link, part of the purpose of the gathering is "to inspire a new generation of Muslim to work for the greater good of all people. We shall serve all people, regardless of race, religion or national origin." Nothing wrong with those ideas. However, there are nutcases in all religions who pervert their beliefs to justify violent actions. What a Muslim does is not necessarily what Islam teaches.

Now, having said that, what's the death toll for the various religions over the last hundred years? Some religions are better represented in the "crazy nutcase violence" category than others. I daresay the Amish are pretty low on the charts. Where do you think Islam ranks? (By the way, according to Wikipedia the all-knowing, Islamic support for terrorism declined during George Bush's presidency. Not quite what the media or Democrats would have had us believe. Interesting, nu?)

Anonymous said...

Say, you experts on Islam do us all a favor and do a little research! You might also check you Bible too.
Like the man said, Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
You red-neck conservatives are giving the species a bad name.
Every religion has it's fanatics and crazies as you can see right here on this page.

Hi 2:43. I'm 10:20 (and also 12:41). You are right about one thing. You didn't make any statement advocating violence in your original post. My apologies for saying that you did.

So anyway, you really believe that Christians haven't killed anyone based on religious differences for several hundred years? What about the Christians blowing up abortion clinics? What about Southern Christians during the era of slavery? What about the Christians that slaughtered the American Indians? What about when America (a Christian nation) attacked Iraq (a Muslim nation) for completely bogus reasons?

No, I don't think that America "got what it deserved" on 9/11. Violence is never the solution. But it's a complete mistake not to recognize things done by this country that cause the Arab/Muslim world to hate us.

And finally, that line about grabbing a "rifle and standing a post" is pure bullshit. Were you in Iraq when you did this? Or Viet Nam? Or were you just grabbing you dick and standing in the corner?

The radical Christians in this country have done SO much harm. They live and breathe the commission of Christ, which says go into all the world and spread the Gospel......

As Christians, we hold those beliefs to be true (for us)..........but Christians go into foreign lands with that message. How can they impact people whose religious views are different?......and they push and push, preach and preach, trying to MAKE these folks adhere to Christian principles. Yes, their hearts are likely right in their ferver for Jesus, but the best way to treat people is to help them, show them the values that Christians embrace. PREACHING does more harm than good.

How folks treat one another is so much more important than what folks say.

Actions still speak louder than words.

Love is still patient and kind.

Christian denominations can't even get along with each other. Even within the same denominations. The splitting of churches among themselves with bickering and church politics and so forth. No wonder any and all religions can't get along with the many different faiths and/or Gods. Pretty much all of them seem to revolve around $$$$ anyway, the main thing they seem to cherish and want.

Anonymous said...

And all the Muslim factions get along just great...right. Such a unified bunch they are.

Anonymous said...

The any and all religions part covered that.

wordkyle said...

Isn't prejudice defined as "an unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought, or reason?"

Anonymous said...

12:29...then why lead out with a specific religion and not "any and all". You seemed to be showing a little more bias against Christianity.

Anonymous said...

Led out with a specific religion because it is the only one I know. What part about any and all do you not understand? The any and all was pertaining to why all religions don't get along when the main-stream religion in our own country can't get along among themselves. Call Rush and see if he will fix you a Martini laced with OxyContin, you will feel better and things will make more sense. To you. And add a rail of spin flavored Kook-Aid.
