1. Obviously, he resigned.
2. This source, say his old Xanga account (think Myspace) looked like this:
3. And The Ticket's Gordon Keith thinks he looks like a Christmas Story character:

Still, nobody comes back to the plain truth that if the guy would have taken a second or two to stop at the red light none of this happens in the first place.
This is like soooo many police officers...they are out to get people because some one beat their ass up in high school so they can't get over it. Use your brain. The guys mother in law is dying. Get over your need to be in charge and let the guy get into the hospital. You can arrest his ass in 15 minutes if you think that is the only option. OMG these people are the ones we have to deal with every day!!!!! Get a life, and yes I know you have to put up with a lot in the every day world of dead beats amd pill heads but get over it. You chose the profession. That is what they always tell me.....I am a teacher. I put up with the same bull shit you do every day.
What if 7:19 is like some whiz-bang calculus or physics teacher? If you can't do that you might consider giving yourself a tonsilectomy with a chain saw
7:54, YOU might want to check your own grammar ( ever heard the saying "those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones?) Are you even bright enough to know what the heck that saying means? Here's what you said:
"Your a teacher? You might want to go back and check your grammer."
Let's see, ..... Your should be You're. And, grammer is spelled grammar!!
Thats funny...yesterday on the Hardline they was discussing this Officer and Rhines asked could he get another job as a Peace Officer in Texas and Danny said, yea some little dump of a Town like Maybank or Runaway Bay will hire him...we made the Hardline!!! but thats true, we usually get all of Bridgeport and Jacksboros rejects....
8:20, so we get rid of stop signs and traffic lights (laws that you feel are out of hand); and all bleed to death at intersections? Empathy would have helped. Not running a red light would have made it never happen.
7:39 is right - Runaway Bay has previously hired officers who were "fired" by other departments. We have 4 full time officers plus a chief - in a town of 1,100 folks with basically no crime. What a waste of taxpayer money! I’m certain this renegade cop will be hired by some similar little burg.
So, let me get this straight... Moats gets a call that his MIL is dying... they are rushing to the hospital, (they meaning his wife, DAUGHTER of the dying mom)... they come upon an EMPTY intersection where the light is red... they STOP... they then proceed to drive through the red light... and then get Officer Jerk's response.
And you keep harping on the fact that he ran a red light?
News flash... no one disagrees that he broke a law... no one wants to get rid of all traffic control devices. Everyone just wants this jerk of a cop to be punished. Cause he WAAAAAAY overreacted to the scenario described above.
Give some bully a gun and a badge and what do you get? A typical police officer. I mean, these people don't want to protect and serve, they want to want to feel the thrill of their own authority. So that's what we get when we rush to the hospital to see a dying relative -- just another jerk ready to shoot us for running a red light.

I agree. Does nobody even care that the guy broke the law?
And let's not forget how great the Dallas PD is for giving out the officer's picture after he'd received death threats.
Here is the real moral of the story. Don't post anything on your facebook/myspace/xanga page that could come back to haunt you years later.
I guess no one expects to come under this type of scrutiny.
Chicago Right-Winger
Nobody says he shouldn't have been stopped.
But the cop ought to let him go when the nurses and the other officer ask.
Empathy, common sense, and do unto others....would have solved the whole situation!!
He is a jerk!

so true, 6:37!
7:19
Your a teacher? You might want to go back and check your grammer. I'm not perfect, but I'm not claiming to be a school teacher either.

Right on, 7:19. The police, the legal system, AND the laws in our country are out of hand. Thank you very little. I'll go back to my cell now.
