Fantastic group of men. I Wish they were in charge today. We would be much better off!

I pointed that out to Jarhead while we were going to the stodgy old man store in the mall to get his new gay tassel shoes.

It does tend to make you stop and ponder history. What will the democrat version make you feel?

LBJ, Slick Willie, FDR, JFK some black Arab guy whose name I can't spell? You get the picture.

I wished Ronald Was still the Prez!!! That was good times

RWR and TR are my faves...

Anonymous said...

I wonder what ol' Abe said to make 'em laugh like that?

Anonymous said...

Some of the greatest men in American history. I wonder what they would have to say as a group about the intentions of President Obama and his vision of a one world order. The Bilderberg group sure seems to have complete control over the Global Political situation these days.

Anonymous said...

There are some great men in that picture. Dubya is not one of them.

bohemian grove

There is a similar version of Dem presidents.

That is a great picture. It is like old honest Abe is telling a joke and they are all laughing. I have this painting in my house and anon 2:42 there is a Democrat version as well. The Republican painting is priced higher than the Democrat one though.

They're not gay, they're European!

Lincoln, TR, and Ike wouldn't recognize the Republican party of today. I'm a lifelong Republican and it breaks my heart.

David said...

3:18 He said "I'm gonna set the blacks free....but heaven help us if one ever gets elected president."

What in the hell is a "froup of men"? I must know. Since they are all Republicans, my mind is spinning.

Anonymous said...

I wonder what party they would be in today's world. There would be socialist ah hum uh democrats. DAGO

Anonymous said...

I think Abe is showing them is winkie!

Anonymous said...

Would love to have an interpretation of this artwork by the artist......why a card game?...........why the President's incorporated into the painting in the particular order..........do think the laid back Reagan (actor) is giving a pretty good testimony of, "hey folks, give em' lights, actions and theatrics, and by golly, you've got em - the dumb folks will buy anything that is on the silver screen".

Republicans, oh how sweet they are!!

I'm guessing 4:09 PM and 4:21PM are both Jarhead. If not, I'm gonna freak.

Politicians and Poker, honesty at its best

I think "W" had himself photoshopped in there.....where is the kiddie table??

6:49,

Commence freaking.

On another note, it was nice to get out on the lake today for the first time this year. Boat ran like a champion after being mothballed for 4 months.

I was going to invite you guys down for a cruise, but I don't know who any of you are. Too bad.

Anonymous said...

Wives whose husbands spend a lot of time on a boat are nice to make friends with.

W does not even belong in the same picture as Lincoln or Roosevelt. W disgraces that picture.

When Abe was a Repulican, YOU SMALL MINDED, RACIST REBPUCLICANS WOULD NOT HAVE LIKED HIM>>>>> WHEN HE WAS A REPUBLICAN YOU WERE ALL SUPPORTING THE WHIG PARTY. DON'T FORGET THE REPUBLICAN PARTY BECAME THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY AND THE WHIG PARTY BECAME WHAT YOU KNOW AS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY TODAY. VERY TYPICAL THOUGH, REPUBLICANS TRYING TO TAKE CREDIT FOR SOMETHING THAT ISN'T THEIRS.

Anonymous said...

HEY REPUBLICANS, GO F YOURSELF!

I love the new GM ads. "If you lose your job, we'll make your payments." Who the heck is we? I think that means me. So now I've got to keep up my own payments and pay enough taxes to make payments for people that will go buy a car they can't afford.

Republicans gambling with our future. I"ll see you some troops and call your no bid contracts. I'll raise you some contras and call your plumbers.
Good Times

Anonymous said...

In the painting, Lincoln, " you know ordinary people and slaves should be free and able to make a living".
Huge laughter among the group ensues.

Anonymous said...

In the Dem version of the painting, they are playing with our tax dollars.

Anonymous said...

Love it. The last great Reublican president was Abe. Nixon came in at second place. The rest suck a bigun.

Never since the Last Supper have a greater group of men been gathered.

4:55 says "Lincoln, TR, and Ike wouldn't recognize the Republican party of today. I'm a lifelong Republican and it breaks my heart."

I say what idiotic nonsense to the first sentence and what a liar to the second.

Some of you guys have a short memory. Reagan/Iran contra/trashing constitution/letting Nancy consult a fortune teller/serving at least last six months if not more with hand on the red phone suffering alzhiemer's "per his own chief of staff".

He did break Russia by creating an arms race that ended up bankrupt them and adding seriously to our grandchildrens debt (sorta makes Rep screaming re deficit a little hollow) But the wall did crumble.
He gets credit for that.

Jury still out on Obama.......each of the last six or seven presidents (I am that old) have made their predecessor look a little better. My guess, he will not break the chain.

Anonymous said...

That is a picture of heaven, actually

Anonymous said...

thank godness for the work of these great men they fought for and protected our country. i have seen a simalr set of paintings depicting the dems first they have one where they are taking the american mans money to give to those who are unemployed and living off the goverment in the second one we see them taking the u.s. constution and ripping it to shreds and using it for toilet paper and in the third they give money away to banks to fix the finical they caused in the first place. the artist is obama nd the set of paintings is called socialism in the watermelon patch

Anonymous said...

A bunch of stiff necks laughing over the fact that they have made the rich people richer while making the middle class poor.
They are mostly sorry examples of humanity in my humble opinion, especially the one standing behind Reagan.

Anonymous said...

that is a damn good group of guys.

God Bless them all

Anonymous said...

I saw the liberal weenie version of this picture, and it's called "Dogs Playing Poker"

Anonymous said...

2:01... Luv it!!!

Anonymous said...

I think Abe's saying "Guys, ya'll are f#%&ed!"

Anonymous said...

The Democrats have their own version of this. I've seen it.

Anonymous said...

"Some of you guys have a short memory. Reagan/Iran contra/trashing constitution/letting Nancy consult a fortune teller/serving at least last six months if not more with hand on the red phone suffering alzhiemer's "per his own chief of staff"."

Huh? Slow down and try to make sense next time.

The Great Deregulators!

Anonymous said...

They are enjoying a good laugh knowing they fooled their fellow conservatives into thinking that they are/were stingy with our tax money. The Tax-Cut and Spend Republicans. One year after W. Bush became president, the national debt clock had to be restarted.

Anonymous said...

This is unrealistic... Honest Abe and Tricky Dick in the same room? right...

Anonymous said...

Rieger's can get the pictures of Dems and Reps for you.

Anonymous said...

There is another picture that has all democrats in it as well, but it doesn't have the same flare. Reminds me of a movie poster for the movie "Abott and Costello meet Frankinstein and the Wolfman". Or maybe that is just what I see!

8:36, You can't judge whether or not someone's a liar over the internet. The person who posted the comment with which you disagree is probably right, considering that a lot of old folks I know feel the exact same way. Ike was the last President to cut federal spending in real dollars. This commenter's opinion actually makes a lot of sense.

Anonymous said...

8:36 that's where you are WRONG.

I know his heart.

Anonymous said...

8:36, I thought you had,, well,,
nevermind.....

I wish I had written that.
I think I love you....
