Sissies v. Lady Eagles: Part 3. This Time, It's More Personal Than The Last Time When It Was Personal

You can get your listen on here. "I just want to tell you both good luck. We're all counting on you." - Leslie Nielsen, Airplane (1980) Edit: The audio broadcast turned out to be a failed bit. Inkernet problems. Final: Bridgeport 42 Decatur 39

Lady Eagles are a class act. Great team to follow all year. Keep your heads up - you've done well!

our revs sucked and if they hadn't the score would have been like our football score! sissies rock

Anonymous said...

Dude, if each team would have had a different point total then the score would have been something else entirely. And Decatur would have won if they had scored more points than Bridgeport instead of fewer points. Other than that, Decatur actually won.

All of TWU's Internet was down. The whole campus. Will be broadcasting from Lubbuck Christian Friday night. Do they have them there internets in Lubbuck? Hope so.

Great game to both teams! The ladies on both teams, win or lose, should be holding their heads high!

The final score was 44-39.

Soooooooo nice to see the girls beat Decatur 3 times this year.

What a year! First Volleyball playoff trip, incredible football season, and now the most prolific basketball season ever in Bridgeport.... boys or girls.

Great job to all these young people!

Too bad the Barnett is falling flat on its ass and Bridgeport will not be able to afford to put diesel in a skool bus next year. Yall had a good sports year. good luck with all them rigs stacking up..

Good thing Bridgeport does not have to play Peaster. The little chicken shit skool would beat them by 40 easy.

the score was 44-39, dummy

GO SISSIES!

Yes 10:13, Lubbock has Internet. Retard.

Hey 9:42
That's right, if you score more than the other team that means you win. But in this case, no matter what you say, the sissies won and the lady eagles lost. And I don't see how Decatur "actually won" when they're not the ones headed to Lubbock!

Best wishes to the sissies! Congratulations to both teams for successful competition throughout the year! Love to see these two rival teams come together, and in the spirit of good sportsmanship, these ladies always put on a great contest while still keeping respect for each other. Time to throw full support behind B'port in their quest for the state title. Good luck!!

Congratulations Sissies and coaching staff.

And congratulations to the Eagle girls and their coaching staff for a good year too.

9:28. "our revs sucked" I don't know about you but we had refs, not revs. But you're right, they did suck. The 3 calls they made in the last 30 seconds gave the game to Bridgeport, so you shouldn't be complaining. Congrats to your girls though and good luck to them in Lubbock.

11:54 didn't get it

lol

Anonymous said...

bet there was some good sportsmanship from the fans on both sides.

9:42 is typical.
10:13 is a confirmed retard, GUNS UP!
11:13 WTF? Barnett Shale? WTF does that have to do with it?
Lucky for both they didn't have to play Bowie.

Tense moment last night at the game, I went to the restroom at halftime and there was Joe Duty in the restroom with his camera

Anonymous said...

the refs were terrible - for both teams
Decatur got out-coached - they stood around and dribbled - not the way to win a game, obviously

Good luck in Lubbock!

Anony 6:23AM -- Sportsmanship ~ ummmmm, let's see ......there is a difference in playing a good game and playing a dirty game, okay not dirty maybe a game like you would play in street basketball.

9:42, that's me...was being sarcastic, for all you dumb butts who actually think it was a serious comment. The comment was mocking everyone who actually gets bent out of shape when kids play ball, complaining about "revs" and who did what and which town the sun shines better on as a result, etc.

6:55 A.M.

If the refs would have called it right from the beginning, those fouls would have been called all night. It was a moving screen. It was an easy call, but they kept sucking on their whistles. And since they had been letting it go all night, they should have let it go then as well.

It was an exciting game with fans yelling and cheering on their teams. It was a good atmosphere, and I know the TWU gym hasn't seen that many fans at one time in a very long time.

11:13,

Hello dumbass, Peaster would have beaten Decatur by 40 also.

Anonymous said...

Is Peaster in Texas??? Just askin.

Anonymous said...

9:25
if you can type Peaster on this blog, you can type it on the Google or Yahoo. That shoud answer your question

Anonymous said...

hey Mike Honcho

Thats a typical sports year in Decatur

anon 8:50,
decatur got outcoached? how in the world was the possible? he has a team that does not have a single college basketball playing prospect on it and his team trailed 40-39 with 40 seconds left? you are assinine. in fact, the decatur coach did one of the finest pieces of coaching i have seena round these parts in a long time.
if the bridgeport coaching staff would start coaching, they would win games by more than 4 and 10 points. that team has three college players on it and should be beating arse like no other.

great job sissies - you are worthy or playing at state

great job lady eagles - you guys overachieve without any doubt and coach billy garner has something to do with it

Anonymous said...

It is sad however when your own players get into a screaming match on the floor.

Anonymous said...

Hard fought game as it always is with these 2 schools.Refs were terrible no doubt as some calls left you thinking... what?Several calls were made by refs out of position to make the calls. It seemed Bridgeport got the short end of the officiating stick most of the night until the last minute when the Eagles did.Coach Garner did an excellent job as his kids really improved throughout the year. The Sissies should use their speed more and get into the open court more often. One thing about the Sissies..they find a way to win.they are a tough minded team.Peaster won't make it past Bowie if they play and the Sissies lost to Bowie by 5 on their home court so I don't think they would fear playing those mean ole Peaster girls.Go Sissies..Take Lubbock by storm

However off subject he may be, someone should explain to 11:13 that the Barnett bust will have just as much impact on Decatur, if not more. Where do you think those Barnett paychecks get spent? Do you think Decatur's stores, restaurants, bars, dealerships, attorneys, accountants, hotels, motels, convenience stores, fuel distributors, city tax base, and school taxes aren't driven by dollars outside from oilfield in one way or another. Don't kid yourself. Decatur could very likely be in worse trouble because of property values and cost of living. You might not want to laugh just yet.

Mr. Mike Honcho said...

Hey 10:58am...

No, its really not. But thanks for jumping in and showing that Decatur attitude.

Its people like you who are the reason why Decatur will always keep Bridgeport from sliding into the lake.

Anonymous said...

Nice, Mike Honcho! 10 bucks says he/she won't understand it.

Anonymous said...

Mike Honcho

You might want to look at the success of the Decatur Athletic program versus Bridgeport and then come back and talk to me

By the way You know what Bridgeport and the wind have in common???????

10:43 you owe me 10 bucks if you can afford it not sure how much you get a month working at Chicken Express

Mr. Mike Honcho said...

10:58... So its common for Decatur to advance to regionals every year in Basketball in Football?

No. Its not. And if Decatur or Bridgeport or other towns in the county do it in a year then it is a special year.

How many years recently has Decatur taken a one loss basketball season to the regional tournament? How many undefeated football teams entering a regional championship game? Every year? Several Years? One or two years?

Uh huh. That's my point. Its been a special year so far in Bridgeport... just like it would have been had the same been for Decatur, you moron.

And your come backs are weak. So weak.

Great Season Sissies! Great Season Bulls! Looking forward to seeing what else comes.

Anonymous said...

I remember when Decatur, not so many years ago, took a boys basketball team to the regional finals, only to get beat by the state champs!

Anonymous said...

Hey we may not go to regionals every year in athletics, but we sure can take 'em all the way to state in academics, mock trial, Ag competitions, band & choir, theatre....!

Go Eagles! You rock!

And yes, the Sissies (he he) have also had a great season. Good job girls and coach!

But we're also so very proud of our Lady Eagles and their coaching staff!
