I love it. The Anchor is going to give his former boss lessons on being a reporter when he probably doesn't know how to be one himself. He obviously wasn't listening when the woman spoke the first time. What else was the reporter supposed to ask her?
Just a little tension there. I suspect the "anchor" wins out here regardless of merit. Too bad. Mike and Jane never get past superficialities so an argument couldn't take place. Again, too bad.
What is that old saying? Careful who's butt you kick on the way up, you may have to kiss it on the way down. Somethign like that. Just coincidence the story was about an elevator.
Jane McGarry saves her she-devil side for the unassuming public when out and about. And (on a side note) every time I watch Fil Alvarado on Fox4 it seems to me that he's a second or two away from throwing his microphone down and quitting...he has to cover some of the dumbest stories.
The anchor is an arrogant asshole! This was no time or place for him trying to humiliate the reporter. Private beef? Yeah...let it be private. He should be fired!
I'm on the anchor's side here. It just makes common sense to get the woman's response to what the guy for the company said. If you don't, there's absolutely no story & he's the voice of reason. If that's your complete story, there's absolutely no reason to send a reporter and camera guy to the building. It's as if once the guy spoke the reporter had made up his mind & was ready to come home. If you want to know why reporter guy was demoted...it's because he mails it in like this.

"You were, but are no longer. How did that happen"?
Priceless.

Jane's not bright enough to get into a fight.
Unless we're talking about the yellow jacket she wears about once a week. That's hella bright.
I love Fil Alvarado
(said in super slow motion)

Sorry what's the issue again, I was distracted by her robe the whole time?
Greggo
If I was the reporter, the anchor and I would have a little "discussion" back at the office. He is a wiseass due for a reall ass kicking!
Jane McGarry needs a voice transplant.
