Unavoidabley Detained This Weekend

- I really hate moving the clocks forward. It happens every year at just about the time I'm comfortable waking up early. - Stumbled across real guys playing tackle football with pads on at Pennington Stadium on Sunday. Something called "The American Eightman Football League." - I watched Eastern Promises. It's kinda good. - I noticed three knuckleheads decided to go canoing (sp?) last night on the Parker/Wise County line and had to be rescued. - I'm reading Slaughterhouse Five (nope, never read it before.) - This video isn't as good as the "Don't Have Maps/Such As" video, but it's pretty good.

Unfortunately, the three idiots who were trapped on the river were simply allowed to drown. You see, several "green" people determined recently that the Wise County Sheriff's office is wasting fuel using big cars and trucks that are capable of hauling prisoners, chasing bad guys and going off road. Since every officer was recently issued a Toyota Prius, the WCSO could not get anywhere near the swollen creek to rescue the three.

The idea of an "interview" during a pageant is so ridiculous. Hmmm, let's see...we'll judge you based on your boobs, your butt, how you walk in a bikini, your hair, your teeth, how you look in a dress and...of course...your views on important social issues.

This was a beauty pagent? Where are the beauties? That girl has the body of a young boy! Pretty face, empty head, body of a teenage boy! Looks like wife #10 Barry!

I know there are thousands of ultra smart readers of this blog. Can someone please explain to me how DST saves energy? Do the lights I use in the morning (including the flood lights I turn on to feed) cost less than the reading light I turn on for the hour in the evening?
