Friday Morning Observations

-It's been over two years since this happened, but a judge found the girl above (the one who is face down and kissing the concrete in Deep Ellum) not guilty yesterday.
- Did you notice that gas prices are insane? Dumb question. Have they ever been higher? I don't think so (but I can't recall what they were last year at their peak.)
- My Bush Tragedy book is really good. I didn't know Karl Rove's mom committed suicide and his dad turned-a-gay and ran off when he was a kid. (Not that that's a "good" thing, but it is a tidbit I didn't know.)
- Well Baylor lost in the first round of the Big 12 tournament proving they don't want to be invited to the NCAA Tourney. But bids are announced on the Sabbath, so they've got that going for them.
- Hypothetically, I had a client ask me over the last month if I truly believed him. Amazingly, I've never had that happen before.

The price of gas is called "devaluation of the dollar". Case in point, (our biggest energy supplier is Canada) the Canadian dollar is now worth more than the US dollar. The dollar decline is caused by huge Government borrowing over the last 7 years and trade policies that have us buying 60 billion a month more overseas than we sell. The answer is simple - elect more Republians and have more tax cuts.

I would think it fairly reasonable for the parents of a"karl rove" to resort to drastic measures.

the gas prices are as a previous reader said caused by the decline of the dollar and eople investing in oil but at the currewnt rate it is nothing more than price gouging but since the big companies line the pockets of our elected leaders we wont see any action. case in point on the news the other day they said that the gas suplies re catching up which would mean that the compnies couldnt use the suply and demand theory to get the extra money they charge us so now the suply of mtbe a substance added to make gas less harmful to the enviroment has come up in short supply therefore resulting in a price fix that screws the hard working men and women of this country out of our hard earned money

Oil comments:
1. Do you remember the price of a barrel of oil in 2001 was about $20 when Bush took office? It's now over $105. Yes, a fivefold increase.
2. People around the world pay well over $6 to $8 a gallon for gas (however it's about 20 cents a gallon in Venezuela). We do not have an inherent right to very cheap gas. But we do have choices: for example - use more efficient vehicles, drive less, live closer to where we work.

10:37, I'm moving to Venezuela. All communism all the time. And then when B. Hussein or Hillbillary become President, I'm moving back.
