I'm sure the defendant, who has probably worked overtime at screwing up his life for many years, was angry that his attorney couldn't wave a "magic wand" and make everything the defendant did--go away. It's always someone else's fault, you know!

Can't link to Dallas Morning News either. Fault is EMBARQ!

No it's not EMBARQ. I just spoke to them.

Basically, Earthlink and their partners are acting like a bunch of idiots and blocking EMBARQ and their customers from accessing certain sites ($$$$$).

Earthlink is upset because EMBARQ has their own mail server and no longer uses Earthlink for email.

So, when Earthlink and their partners grow up and quit playing games... everything will go back to normal.

The customer service rep said they've done this 3 times in the last few months. He read me an email from his superiors.

He wasn't cited for contempt. He first asked the judge for a delay in the hearing. Denied! He then asked for a change of appointed counsel. Denied! So, he punched out his attorney and got both. LOL!

The link to the video isn't there. Barry, what could/should happen to the guy who assaulted him?

In answer to 10:09 AM, he'll probably get charged with a misdemeanor assault (a may very well be held in contempt of court, as well). I'm not Barry, but I'm a local judge.

I was kinda thinkin he be charged with cruelty to animals.

10:29 thank you sir or mam for your answer. I am what many would consider a bad man and generally think the law gets involved way too much when people decide they've got to 'duke it out' and give people a criminal record(or make theirs worse)waste a courts time etc. But what that thug did was nothing near what the old statutes called mutual combat. There are at least 3 reasons why people who do things like this need to be dealt with very strongly.1 He could have killed the guy 2 The victim will likely suffer longterm or lifelong from the attack 3 If it was someone like me society would be picking up the pieces one way or another when I came back to get the attacker if the law didn't take care of it in the first place.

If that punk had half a brain he would have asked for a new lawyer and laid out his reasons why and then if he felt got screwed on the verdict used that to get the verdict thrown out,new trial whatever. He was handed a golden egg(if there was anything to his claims) and turned it into doo-doo.

The judge cited on behalf of the defendant for doing society a favor.

The defendant said he could hit like a mule. Maybe he can pull a plow at the prison farm.

He kind of looks like the new republican chairman here in Wise County.

After this next election !!!!

!!! GO DEMOCRATS !!!

We need hot cheerleaders at the polls and I think that would GOTV

Crickmer says he "bears no ill will" toward Hafer and excuses the attack by saying the guy was "frustrated" is he serious,do people really think like that?

The problem with hitting your attorney is finding another to defend you when you go to court for hitting the first one.
