Your info COULD get you a REWARD--how likely are you to really get a reward since they use the word COULD!?! How MUCH?

Sounds like they need a bunch of cops instead of teachers @ that school.

Anonymous said...

Durn move-ins!

Silicone Alley said...

Sounds like everyone is just runnning WILD over there. Scary times ahead.

11:26, I'm not sure, but I doubt it's the responsibility of the teachers to prevent someone from getting into a school hallway in the evening or at night and doing some damage. The teachers have enough on their plate.

mzchief said...

WOW!
I had NO idea Decatur High School's librarian's name is Al-Husaini.

Anonymous said...

Some of the trouble is due to the 55 minute lunch. It doesn't take near that long to eat and the students who cannot leave campus for lunch are left with idle time. Teenagers + idle time = Trouble

Anonymous said...

Al-Husaini is the librarian? That's the scariest thing I've heard all day.

Anonymous said...

What a contrast! If we had an American (infidel) librarian in Baghdad xchool, the juveniles would become suicide bombers and blow the school up.

In Decatur, we have a muslim (possibly) librarian and the problem with juveniles is candy wrappers.

Anonymous said...

I'm thinking that the Democrats started this whole mess...

Anonymous said...

With comments like this, it is no surprise that DHS is full of ungrateful retards.

Anonymous said...

Wow. Sounds like DHS is taking reasonable steps to take care of the school. The library is no place for food or drink. I have never been in one that allows that.
And they asked that students not be in certain places when there are not adults to supervise. When the students learn to behave properly then maybe they can earn these privileges back.

Anonymous said...

Will you listen to yourselves? All you know is the librarian's name AND THAT's ALL YOU KNOW! Knowing her name does not give you one other piece of information about her. I guess none of you people will be voting for Obama. No need to listen to anything he has to say, that name is going to scare you off and fill your little minds with all your biases!
Small minds, small minds, small minds! So annoying!

northwest high school has a starbucks in its library

MohammedHATER said...

That's all a reasonable person needs when discussing muzzies.

Anonymous said...

They need to bring Ms. Fortenberry out of retirement to solve this library problem.

Anonymous said...

Better that the little darlings left candy wrappers than used condoms, right? It could be alot worse people!

Anonymous said...

Please go meet the librarian before you say comments about her ethnic background. You may be surprised. Even in Decatur, we have names from all countries. Please don't sound so ignorant

Ms. Al-Husaini is a bright, kind, yet no-nonsense librarian. If there's no food or drink, then no food or drink, and she's not budging. Kids need boundaries, and giving in cannot keep happening because "they could be doing a lot worse". Maybe if they started respecting and following simple rules, then the bigger ones wouldn't present such a dilemma!!! -Former DHS teacher

She is as white as the pope's robe or sheet or whatever that is. She was married to a man from the UAE who went to school in Denton Tx many years ago. She was born and raised right here in Wise County.

mzchief said...

To Anonymous 1:45...
Considering how narrow minded the small town communities in Wise County tend to be about MOST issues, especially those related to ethnicity, I thought it was EXCEEDINGLY progressive for DHS to have a librarian named Al-Husaini. Administrators in some Wise County school districts STILL require in Elementary and Middle School libraries the removal from reference books all pages that contain MEDICAL renderings/drawings of the human reproductive organs. There are people of ALL ages in Wise County who, without shame or embarrassment REGULARLY use the terms "nigger" and "wet-back" when referencing blacks and Hispanics, respectively. Though you may not believe it, DHS having a librarian named Al-Husaini is a MASSIVE step out of the primordial oooozzze for Wise County.

Anonymous said...

Was there drugs and alcohol involved? Oh, silly me, it's at the high school so of course there was.

Shame, shame, shame!

Northwest HS is going to a traditional schedule, too. None of that block crap!

Shouldn't DHS do the same?

Anonymous said...

Mrs. Fortenberry (Dicus - she's married now) was a wonderful librarian, and so is Mrs. Al-Husaini.

You should go up and meet her - you'll feel really stupid when you do!

Anonymous said...

4:04 - that's how you get your kicks?

I get a big kick out of you, too.

Somebody's got too much time on their hands to send you the DHS daily announcements.

Is that the best they can do?

mzchief-
anon 1:45 here.
My apologies to you. I did not understand that your intention behind your first comment was that it was "EXCEEDINGLY progressive for DHS to have a librarian named Al-Husaini."

Thanks for taking the time to clarify.

Anonynothing Whatever said...

You started it, MzCreep. I didn't see ANY reference to her NAME until you chimed in.

Now, you're trying to cover your arse, but you're just making yourself look like a race-riot inciting fool AGAIN.

You are no better than wordbile or jerkhead.

Mrs. Fortenberry is retired?!

She was the DHS librarian for no less than 100 years. When did she retire? Is she still alive? They should have named the new library after her, since she was a DHS institution.

Mzchief must be the most powerful person in Wise County since some of y'all are making her responsible for all the hateful racist comments made by other folks. Because I've lived my entire 56 years in Wise County, I was like Mzchief and pretty surprised to hear that DHS had the gumption to hire someone with the last name Al-Husaini for a job other than janitor. Anyone ever notice that even though half the students in Bridgeport schools are Hispanic that the only Hispanics that work for BISD are the janitors?

Anonymous said...

No surprise that Mr. Mike Chumpo would be all about a butter face like Silicon Alley and hating on a smart woman like Mzchief.

American4truthiness said...

"Progressive" to have someone named Al-Husaini? Until you said that, I assumed I was the bigger retard. Even though I don't feel the need to use those two awful words you gratuitously posted.
According to another poster the good librarian married some jerk from UAE-she went out of her way to marry a primate and I'm supposed to be happy she's workin' hard to bring me out of the primordial ooze?

Anonymous said...

Uh, jarhead you're not exactly putting your name out there, either. You're still Anonymous. Anyway, due to the protests this Sunday, I'm proud to call my Anonymous. Only I'm not. Or am I?

Anonymous said...

8:32 unless you are MZ incognito you've got a screw loose somewhere on several different levels. Being nasty to someone for nastinesses sake is often a symptom and not an opinion. Silicone may and may not be a lot of things but a "butterface" isn't one of them. What's the deal? She's a pretty young lady that seems smart who in the interest of a laugh and being open posted a pic of herself here.
You also may and may not be a lot of things and chief among what you are is pathetic and that's all we really know about you.

jarhead -
You amature psychoanalysis is quite wrong - for me anyway. I have none of the motivations you mention.

I post anonymously so that when I do post, people cannot have any preconceived notions about who I am. You can only respond to my one post of the moment & that's it.

For instance, whenever I see your name, I have a lot of preconceived notions about you - I won't share those with you - they might be positive or negative, that's all I'm saying. When I see Mzchief's name, I have another set of preconceived notions about her.

That & only that, is why I remain,
Anonymous
Thank you very much.

Jarhead, since I've found this blog and yours I've enjoyed reading your comments. Also, after seeing your profile and even a couple of partial face shot pics of you I still couldn't id you if my life depended on it, so I think it's fair to say you're choosing to remain anonymous yourself regardless of reasons.

I've still got a funny feeling Mzchief is some kind doo-doo stirring alter ego thing created by Barry to mix things up a bit on occasion.

Mohammedwuzapunkpedo said...

Mzchief, before you come back from Wikipedia with a bunch of 'contributions' by the Arabs and muzzies know that a well studied person knows that, 80% are outright lies,10% are exagerations and the rest, well even a broken watch is right twice a day."Exceedingly progressive"? Holy smokes what would you think if she was a member of the Flat Earth Society or the church of scientology?

Anonymous said...

Jarlid -
I'm anonymous because in a town the size of Decatur, for the most part, everybody knows everybody else. The one place in Decatur I can be anonymous is on this blog, so that's what I'm gonna do.

And speaking of getting a life, why would someone spend time trying to analyze why people post anonymously? What a useless waste of time. I'm sure there are as many reasons why people post anonymously as there are people who post anonymously.

Anonymous said...

So Jarhead, since you say anonymous posters are cowards, are you saying that it is a brave act when you post as Jarhead?

Just wondering.....
well not really. I don't really want an answer.

To anonymous 8:32...
You bashing one woman while attempting to defend another makes you no better than the likes of Mike Honcho. Actually, it makes you EXACTLY like Mike Honcho. That MUST really suck for you.

*****************************************

To anonymous 10:42...
I have NEVER randomly bashed or criticized a woman. I have actually defended a couple of women on this blog, with whom I agree on VERY little, who were taking fire from testosterone poisoned males. Men have for too many years felt compelled and been given the right to be disrespectful and dismissive of women. I refuse to EVER render aid to men in an attempt to undermine a woman. I realize my approach is a wee bit abnormal because women are NOTORIOUS for burning down other women in an attempt to garner approval from the good ol' boy's club. I have NEVER been interested to being a member of that smelly club.

***************************************

To ponderful1...
Give up thinking, NOW before you hurt yourself. I am MUCH YOUNGER than Barry. Let us not forget the obvious facts that I am a chick and have VASTLY more hair on my head than Barry has on his head. Oh right, there is the minor issue of the handful of commentors on Barry's Blog who KNOW ME!

****************************************

To Mohammedwuzapunkpedo...
Provide a few links and PERHAPS you will look like something other than a...uhhhh...MORON.

*****************************************

As for the random haters I did NOT directly address...Just consider yourself soooooo inconsequential you are beneath contempt.

******************************************

My work here is done...See you on the flip side, kiddos.

Okay, okay, I'll come out of anonymity...the only reason I have been for a while is because the Google account thing switched...yada, yada, yada! So, to all who get so bent out of shape over anonymous posters...now you know who I am; well, at least you have a blogname to associate with my comments...way better, I guess. And to Silicone (I try typing that with a straight face), I'm 3:14, and I wasn't pissed but merely making a point. The blog can be a good forum to do just such a crazy thing.

Again, progressive to hire someone with that name? Seriously - do you even have a clue what your'e saying. Of course you don't - you've never met her, and you probably don't care to.

What's in a name?

The name has nothing to do with whether or not they should have hired this competent, intelligent, certified, light-skinned, blue-eyed, well-qualified librarian.

Are you so shallow to see that?

What gives you the right to be judgemental about someone whose name is all you know?

Double fake shame on you!

Jarhead said...

You guys crack me up. So when you go to the store and use a credit card and they ask for ID do you say "I prefer to remain anonymous"?

In "small town" Decatur, when you go to the gynecologist (that goes for some of you anonymous males as well :)), do you make your appointments as "Patient X"?

If you write to the opinion section of the Star-Telegram re: a subject that you feel strongly about, do you think they'll print your opinion anonymously? No, you have to give your name, city and phone# ~ they actually call to ask if you really are who you claim to be in your submission to hold you accountable for your letter. ACCOUNTABLE. Why wouldn't you want to have an opinion about something and be known for it? Do you send anonymous emails at work? Unsigned birthday cards and letters? Christmas presents with no tags? Is all of your mail addressed to "Current Resident"? When you have to discipline your kids do you wear a pillowcase over your head? Are you getting the picture? Somehow I think I'm wasting my time ~ not that I have anything better to do tonight.

Face it all you nameless, faceless, blog-less people. You can't do anything anonymously these days (except post on blogs and message boards and vote). Your excuses are weak and you know it.

Ask most of the other frequent posters here (even Barry does, I think) who also have blogs. They know what my name is, what my email address is and where I work. If any of you crying about not knowing exactly who I am honestly give a shit, start a blog and eventually I'll check it out and if I'm interested I may or may not correspond via post or email.

Judging by some of the ridiculous attitudes displayed here on an daily basis, however, most of you probably aren't worth knowing anyway. But I'm sure there are some good apples out there.

I do enjoy this blogging thing.

"You have disturbed me almost to the point of insanity. There... I am insane now."

Silicone is just barely out of the shallow end. She is extremely insecure and has an average level of intellect which makes her full of BS and slightly dangerous b/c of the insecurity. She doesn't do well when she isn't the center of attention and it will get worse as she ages. If she is young, her self-worth lies in her looks if she has any and doesn't get along with other women b/c she likes to catch the eye of their husbands or boyfriends. So don't get your panties in a wad over her comments.

Anonymous said...

Geeze, all this from the hot topic of "Hanging Out in the Cafeteria Crisis". Back to the original topic, I don't think that food or drinks should be allowed in a library at any time. Sounds to me that these kids need a few lessons in "respect your school property". I remember driving by the old High school and that whole place use to look like a dump with food wrappers all over the place. They use to have the school employees out there picking up the trash. They should have the trouble makers out there picking up the trash as part of their punishment. Isn't that what we see along our highways, the troublemakers picking up the trash or are we taxpayers paying those people to pick up trash? Just wondering.....

Do you know her outside this blog, start thinking you were in love with her and she wouldn't give you the time of day or what? Somethings up!

Anonymous said...

Jarhead you aren't making any sense with this anonymity stuff. You jumped out there without thinking and it's hard to admit you are wrong. There's a few easy fixes though. Just say "Oh,you guys are right,I just hadn't thought about it that way..." OR post your full real name and hometown. Either should silence your critics and vindicate you in the eyes of our community of geniuses. I don't care either way just don't like seeing anyone whose opinions I've genuinely respected not making any sense over something they seem to be taking so personally.

It's really not that big of a deal (to anyone but you, maybe?).

Jarhead I agree with all that you said anonymous posters are just a bunch of chicken shits as 12:00 said "I post anonymously so that when I do post, people cannot have any preconceived notions about who I am." That goes to prove that people out there are still concerned with what others have to think of them.

And WOW 11:31, I had originally wrote this long ass comment bashing your ass but what’s the point your anonymous. So step out of the 9th grade and "don't get your panties in a wad over her comments." Hope you have a nice day!!! ;)

My first encounter with the term jarhead was in th US Army Recon School. We had a soldier in my class who was prior service Marine which was really cool because he knew alot of stuff that kept us out of trouble. The memorable part was how the drill instructors treated him. Before he took his cap off he had to tap the edge of it two times and twist it off two turns and when putting it on he had to twist it around his head two times and back it off 1/4 of a turn centering it over his face.
