KXAS Gold

This false email has been circulating since 1999:
Ogling over women's breasts is good for a man's health and can add years to his life, medical experts have discovered. According to the New England Journal of Medicine, "Just 10 minutes of staring at the charms of a well-endowed female is roughly equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out" declared gerontologist Dr. Karen Weatherby.
But amazingly on Saturday night KXAS news (Channel 5) reported the story as true only to issue a retraction at the end of the broadcast. They played the retraction on The Ticket this morning - I'm looking for it.

Thank you, Barry, for attaching a link to the snopes.com site, where all manner of crazy e-mail stories are researched and either confirmed or revealed as false. I would sincerely request of all of your readers that they start using this site frequently, to double check these things every time they get a forwarded e-mail containing any kind of story - be it a hostile criticism, a testimonial, or whatever. (Example: the crazy stuff that's going around about TV's Mr. Rogers, Lee Marvin & etc.)

Doing this research can be educational and enlightening, and should ALWAYS be done before forwarding on to the rest of us.

Leave it to our present-day media, who always strive for accuracy, above all else (heavy sarcasm)!
