Does ANYONE know WHY the event is it called a "run" when EVERYONE "rides?"
Those bikers were great. Took our 4 year old son to watch them go by. Great, cheap entertainment on a Sunday afternoon. He had a ball.

Similar to "Well, I've got to run, now!" Or, "I need to run by the grocery store on my way home." Sometimes referred to as a "figure of speech", or alternatively, as "an expression". Bikers will meet with friends to "go on a dinner run", or hook up in large groups for a "poker run" in which they go to a series of 5 predetermined locations to draw a playing card at each location, with the best poker hand winning a prize.
