Speaking of "Free (someone)", there's a true story that's kinda funny. Back in LBJ's presidency, there was a man named Lee Otis in prison in Texas (or thereabouts), who some thought was there unfairly. At a speech LBJ was making, there were protestors chanting "Free Lee Otis" in the background. After his speech, LBJ turned around and asked someone, "why were they shouting 'frijoles' for"? Maybe not LOL, but humorous.
The 'frijole' speech related by 1027 actually comes from a speech by then Governor Preston Smith at a university in Houston. Otis Lee Johnson was a Black Panther who was put away unfairly on a drug charge.Sounds too good to be true,but it was carried by newspapers of the day.Otis Johnson died recently. PS Debra Lafave contradicts the notion that what you are on the inside affects how you are perceived on the outside-she is one of the most beautiful women ever (in the history of ever).
