I'm Off To Fort Worth

But in light of the Don Imus "scandal" (sheesh, cut the guy a break), I bring you "White Chicks and Gang Signs." Good times.

I was going to post on my site about Imus. I'm way liberal, but I think people need to lay off. He knew what he was saying, and said it as a joke (like a old white guy saying "Nappy Headed Hoes"). He didn't slip and say nigger or anything. He was purposely making a joke. He shouldn't have even apologized. It wasn't very funny, but he should have been on Sharpton's show begging that a**hole for forgiveness.

Charles Barkley, on a nationally broadcast basketball game, said that the players on one team were "running around like they stole something". Not a peep about that. Don Imus should not have said what he did, but he used words that not only do hip hoppers call themselves all day long, but words and imagery that are promoted in the music, movie and TV industry, the very industries and companies for which he works and by those same people that are suspending him but have no problem pumping out and making money off CDs that use the same language.

I think he should be fired. There is no excuse for what he said. And there have been other folks in the media business fired for far less derogatory statements.

Imus is a conservative's conservative. What a guy. Just let it slip what pretty much all angry white conservatives think and feel.

Let's see. A white guy calls a black girl a nappy headed ho and the world is coming to an end. A gangsta rapper does the same thing and he is awarded multimillion dollar contracts and promoted by the same company that owns the distribution rights of the white guy. Then the biggest race pimp of all time demands an apology. Don't you love the liberal mindset?

What has anything happening to Imus got to do with "the liberal mindset"???????

Where do you get that Imus is a big Conservative? He is an a-hole, and we have that on both sides of the aisle. Imus is like most people, he is conservative on tax issues (he wants to keep his money) and liberal on the war (he has been against it from the start).

I can't believe I'm defending Imus. But I too am starting to feel bad for him. I also can't believe I said that.

Don't watch the guy that much, but did hear him say before all this with the women's black team that Condi Rice was a snaggletoothed b...... Now WHY wasn't that one reported?

Hummmmmm. Don't call women whores, but the other word is ok?'

Who trusts Al Sharpton on anything. Can we trust any man, black or white that is a preacher AND a politician?

And do we remember Rush calling Chelsea Clinton a lap dog?

Talk radio is out of control and has been for a long time.

Lap dog is rascist?

I'm still waiting for the Jesse Jackson Apology and Emasculation Tour (similar to what Imus is going through) for calling NYC "Hymietown."

As for Imus, he's a pro, and learned a long time ago what he can and can't say over the air. He committed a huge blunder and now he's paying the price.

(BTW, I think what he said is despicable.)

Yeah, WordKyle, but what the hell could they fire Jesse Jackson from???
