. . . but he allegedly had a bad experience in Decatur (and decided to post it on youtube.com).

The guy on YouTube obviously has a small dick and is over compensating for it.
However, he is dead on right. The McDonalds service person was wrong. The McDonalds Franchise Rep was TOTALLY wrong. But this experience is so common in Decatur and Wise County.
Some one should tell the Youtuber that they just demolished the only other Wise County McD’s. So now everyone will have to go to the Wal-mart McD’s to get their Big Mac’s. So who has the last laugh now sucker!!!
It really doesn't surprise me. Every time I've been to a Larry Cairnes (I believe that is the spelling of the last name) operated McDonald's, it has been an exercise in patience. From the surly staff in the drive-through/front counter, to the guarantee that your order will be wrong, to the outward appearance of the restaurant itself.
Case in point, the red Dodge truck that parks diagonally in the two spaces that were in front of the drive-though windows of the now demolished McDonald's. Obviously your compensation device is more important than your customers.
This guy is right on the money with his assessment of the Wal-mart McD's. Not only are they extremely rude and down right uncaring, but the place is nasty dirty. (at least the 2 times I have been there.) I will never purchase from there again.
That is the most annoying man in the history of ever. He may have gotten bad service but I bet more than once in his lifetime one of his customers have felt like he gave bad service. You can't please everyone all of the time. Specially jerks like that.
moma247, yes I did. Which is why I put "a Larry Cairnes operated McDonald's." He owns/operates the one inside Wal-Mart and the McDonald's in Springtown.
It seems either is is very hands-off on the operation of his restaurants, or he just doesn't care. There is a very noticeable difference in service and appearance in those three restaurants and other franchisee's McDonald's estabslishments.
Who the heck goes to McDonald's with the expectation of real service? A reasonable person expects to walk up to the counter, place an order, pay, get correct change, and get their food (using a liberal definition of the word) fast. To complain or expect otherwise is just lame. I bet the kids working behind the counter get as tired of listening to "big spenders" gripe about not getting 4 packets of ketchup in their bag like they asked as we do of having mistakes made with orders. An analogy would be hiring a 12 year old to mow your lawn, or buying lemonade from a little girl on a summer day, and complaining about the height of the cut or that the lemonade wasn't sweet enough.
I agree completely. To post a video of how you didn't like your service is retarded. Do like everyone else and complain to the 800 number and get your free meal; then make a mental note, not to go back.
I'd like to complain about and the poor service I have received on this blog and its unhealthy, disgusting condition. Yesterday I visited here and went away with a crab infestation. I guess that's what I get for reading in the nude.
At least he ate at one place he liked while in Wise Co. The other Mcdonalds was serving drinks with no ice a couple of weeks ago. They didn't bother telling you either. Then when you asked if you could get some more ice , They would come back at you with some smart arse comment that defined their age.Your observasions of Wise Co. are correct Paul.
His credentials are very lengthy, and he sure has had a lot of jobs in his life. He must not provide very good service either. No way you should have as many jobs as him if you are competent. He finally had to open his own food stand... Guess he couldn't get a job elsewhere.
5:17 you are a dip s it. in 35 yrs he has finally made it on his own. you are so simple minded that I will bet dimes to dollars that you cling to your 8 to 5because you don't have any ambision. There are those that look for more and there are those that work the same tax paying job in their one horse town all their life. You don't look for more thats why you spout out about people that have passed you in the food chain . Too bad you can't even fathom what I'm talking about. 8 to 5 is the life , right.
first of all i agree with paul but he did have high expectations after all he was in wise county.case in point i was a the pizza hut in decatur last night the teen age girl who was waiting tables didnt know the menu, when i ordered the family special from the menu i had to read what it came with for her.the only good service i ever got at the old mc donalds was from the blonde headed woman who worked at 5:30 am during the week she was always friendly and courtious even first thing in the morning.but then she was not one of the aspiring youth we have in wise county. my 5 year old son stated the otherday as we were at the walmart branch of mc donalds he wanted to gro up and work there, needless to say my jaw dropped and he is locked in the closet.

8:46, did you not catch that it wwas the McDonald's INSIDE Wal-Mart that this guy had problems with.

WOW!
He should have considered himself LUCKY that a phone happy counter person was his ONLY complaint about service he received in Decatur.

UGH, why do people feel the need to get on the internet and complain about every mundane thing in their useless lives.
Oh, wait...... guess I'm a pathetic loser, too.
