That Second Sentence

. . . should never have to be written about any family in America.

Well, anyone dumb enough to do what the third sentence describes really shouldn't be surprised that their house burned down.....come on, really......

Anonymous said...

yep, name calling is helpful right about now.

Anonymous said...

this is becomming more and more common in our country.

Anonymous said...

yes it is, but not just because of the cost of living. more and more people are using the system to live instead of getting a job. stand in line behind a perfectly healthy twenty something year old male who doesn't work and uses food stamps to pay for steak and also buys his cigarettes and beer after paying for food.....i don't care for working my butt off to pay for other peoples laziness.......they ALWAYS find enough money for a cell phone, cigarettes, and booze, ALWAYS!

You know, power outages do happen. Last night at about 4:20AM one happened in Chico. Granted hardly anybody would be awake at that hour.

okay after years of working in the nursing field I found that often times the poorest were those that for whatever reason could not find a job that had insurance and they refused to receive government help because they were too proud. And so they found themselves as what we called at the hospital "working poor" They struggled to pay their bills, and cut corners where they could. Don't know this family but who are we to judge?

Yes, some abuse the system (on both ends of the spectrum)but do we ALWAYS know who they are?

Anonymous said...

Maybe the power was just out you liberal thug. Why don't you take some of your DWI cartel drug money and make it right for all the poor people with temporary power outages that leave candles burning and suprise burn thier house down

Anonymous said...

9:38 worst record of job growth in 40 years and working people haven't had a raise in 6 years.

how about those who have a catastrophic illness in the family and lose everything trying to pay the medical bills.

you are a moron and people with your attitude just haven't had a disaster in their life...YET

go sit in the offices that handle public assistance and watch all the people waiting to sign up for assistance, they pass the time messing with their cells and taking smoke breaks outside!

Anonymous said...

We might all have more money if the politicians would quit stealing from us. Did you see what Sheehan has on her blog?

TX Attorney General, Greg Abbott, steals from Texans

To anon 9:38: I work and my husband works; we do not live in a luxurious home, we pay a monthly mortgage and we have 3 children. We do NOT waste our money on cigarettes OR alcohol!!

Last month, we didn't have the funds to pay our electric bill. We HAD to ask for assistance. We praise God that our prayers were answered and the electricity stayed on. But you have no idea what it took for us to ask for that help. We thought we were going to be living without electricity for awhile. I pray that someone kinder than yourself will be willing to help these poor people replace what they have lost.

We just got down on our luck!! It happens! I hope you are never placed in that position. It may be harder for you to ask for help than you could ever imagine!!

Anonymous said...

10:22 I hope your luck changes soon. Don't forget to vote. We need to turn this boat around.

Does anybody know if donations are being taken for these people? It's Cold, They probably need clothing. The holidays are coming too and It sure is hard enouph as it is getting through that without any hurddles.

Anonymous said...

You people amaze me ! It was a crack house ! I see dope-heads leaving that place everyday ! Lot more chance of a meth-lab than a candle.

Anonymous said...

I have family that lives on this street. They keep to themselves. If this was a drug lab, I'm glad it is gone.

If this was as reported, these people need help!!

Review and investigate before you judge these people because I honestly don't know.

Anonymous said...

you're right Barry.. no one in America today should be without electricity because UNEMPLOYMENT IS AT ONE OF ITS LOWEST POINTS IN HISTORY.

Anonymous said...

unemployment is at a low point because it has run out for millions of people but they are STILL unemployed. that's how bush makes his unemployment numbers look good but they are inaccurate.

you can't fool the people any more with your rhetoric. they can feel it in their pocketbooks.

I noticed that TxSheehan has her own blog also. Wow, I saw one post that had a tremendous amount of comments. I think it was up to 3. All the others didn't have any. It reminded me of AirAmerica Radio. No listeners and going bankrupt. Anon 10:09, you might want to get your misinformation from someone other that TxSheehan. I work and have gotten a raise every year. I know lots of other working people that have gotten their raises also. Does an almost alltime low unemployment rate mean that there have been no new jobs created? Keep drinking the Kool Aid and wearing your tinfoil hat.

miz.gina said...

Most americans are a month of unemployment away from being in these people's shoes. If you lost your job today do you have savings? I am not talking about running up credit cards to live... I mean money in the bank.

People need to stop judging and realize that there for the Grace of God go I.

Do people abuse the system? Yes they do but why did you assume that they were that type? Was it by chance because of his last name?

So much prejudice it is astounding.

Are people stupid because they can't get a better job or are they stuck in a low paying job because they are stupid?

Anonymous said...

There are many many jobs out there. There are many companies that are short handed and can't keep good help. The company I work for is short handed because it is nearly impossible to get someone who can pass a drug test. Too many people are unwilling to work-there are jobs, but people think they are too good for certain types of work. If you are willing to get off of your a**, you CAN make a living....at least a good enough living to pay the electricity, rent, and food. As far as unforseen accidents/illnesses, we went through that very thing at the beginning of the year with our daughter-we are still paying medical and hospital bills and will be for a long time, sometimes only 10.00 to each provider a month, they WILL work with you to get it paid, there's really no excuse for not paying your bills, even if you don't earn very much like my spouse and myself--we work more than one job, we pay our bills, we don't ask anyone else to. We turn off lights to save electricity.....it is do-able!

2:07 - good points - and stupidity can also mean buying a house that is way beyond one's financial means.

Those new homes out in the Aurora area are HUGE.

Just how much is enough?

Anonymous said...

I volunteer at an area food bank shelter. I have a heart of compassion for those not as fortunate as me.. unfortunately 95% of all those I deal with are in their situation because of themselves. With a little bit of effort and self discipline most of them could be doing fine.

Anonymous said...

Enough is however much you can afford. All you dipsticks that are waiting to win the lottery but never will would be the first to buy the huge house in Aurora.

Anonymous said...

10:09 - If I have a catastrophic illness in my family it is MY responsibility to prepare for it and get through it.
It IS NOT my responsibility to help someone else get through it.

I feel bad because they didn't have electricity. I really do. But, Lesson #1 is, blow out candles before leaving home.

You are all dumb ass wise county liberal fags ! The place was a known drug house! Wake up people ! they were selling meth and after the fire they are not making anymore ! If you wanna give them a coat then I hope you don't have kids because they will set up shop again and maybe your kids will burn up next time !

Anonymous said...

6:22 Why so angry? Did you set fire to their house or something?

Anonymous said...

6:22 what a homophobic biggot! all you conservatives are so sexually repressed you act out like foley. come on, live a little. have some sex and loosen up. maybe then you would find your heart.

Anonymous said...

The local food bank was established with the understanding a large percentage of users would be less than deserving. The intent was to be available for that small number that are in real need in spite of abuses by others.

Anonymous said...

How do you all know where this house is? I see to address in the Update listing.

Anonymous said...

Bottom line is there are jobs out there if you want to work. Manage your money and put some away for a rainy day. And don't be stupid like leaving candles lit while your gone.

If they sell drugs then give them a home at our new jail.

i want you to take into account that i am a born and bred republican when i say what i am about to say. i hate people taking advantage of the system just like the next person but i think these electric providers are taking advantage of people. i have a college degree and a six figure job. i do not manage my money as good as i should sometimes and therefore get tight on occasion. i had to pay my property taxes a few years ago and that bled me dry for the month. electric bill came in and it was over 300 bucks. mine you it normally is around 200. not alot of money but i didnt have the money to pay it. i let it float for about 15 days and got a notice on my door. 50 more dollars for field visit and they would be there in 3 or so days to turn the power off if i didnt pay. still didnt have the money to pay it but was going to make it work with some juggling. i was waiting as long as i could to pay it and left the check in the night deposit at coop on the second night. got home, after dropping off payment on second night and power was turned off. with slip saying another 50 dollars and 150 to turn power back on. called and talked to very nice operator who explained to me there was nothing that could be done until next day no matter what slips had said. luckily after a few phone calls to the right person and the embarrasment of my life coop sent someone out around 11 to turn my power back on. at this time i had a two month year old at home with temperatures easily over a hundred for the day and not getting below upper eighties at night. i didnt pay my bill on time. i know i was in the wrong. but i feel that they with all making record profits and rising cost should think like humans in situations like these. i dont know those peoples situation but i know what mine was.

Just like a liberal you spout off before you know all the facts! read todays mess and it tells you why!

as a volunteer fireman, ive been to a lot of house fires where someone left a candle burning, went away for a few minutes, then came back as house was burning. Usually we discovered it was on purpose.
