The head of technology for Wise County showed me what will soon be the employee entrance at the new jail. I was surprised to learn that it is already equipped with a thumb scanning device that prevents unauthorized entry. My thumb was rejected.

Aw shucks, no retinal scan (like you see in the movies)?
I go to the jail quite often to interview clients and have always seen the employees at the WCSO working diligently. I think this is a step up for Wise County!
I can say that yes some do work very hard and I know if you ask them they will say HHH yes they work hard. I think the lady at the new front desk on the South side is a very hard worker and good at her job and kind at it too!!
if this device enhances the security of the jail and helps those who work there get the job done than i am all for it because they work hard. thank you for your hard wcso employes
Haven't ya'll seen the movies where the bad guys chop off fingers to get past the fingerprint machines? I don't think the eye scanners will encourage them to poke out eyes to gain access.

This is Wise County, we are lucky to have a print scanner.
It may be difficult to open the door holding a coffee cup in one hand and the donuts in the other?
Hold up on the scanner, I don't think the Wise County Jail has one. Are those cheaper than the thumb scanner?
I'm around peace officers all the time and rarely see them eat donuts, but...this was funny as hell!

Okay why were you rejected? Is there a deep dark secret we don't know about?
