75% of households are finding it harder to make ends meet. High gas, home heating, higher food costs.
The report indicates a few people have a lot of money!!!
I would like to see how this compares to 5 years ago or 10 years ago.
What percent of households are falling from the 25% to the 75%?
I bet the rich are getting richer and the middle class...all households in the 10% to 25% are falling!
And why would that be????
The remaining 75% work for Wise County.
Where are you at on this list Barry? :)
I went from being in the top 5% (husband with a job) to the bottom. No child support. You manage.
Yes, I agree Condo, you do manage. It is really scary to even turn the heat on to warm up our old house in the morning. Thank goodness we are seeing gasoline decrease a little.
Get this!! I work for the State of Texas, and have a Bachelors degree for "the good job". With my income and two children to support, I am $500.00 per year, too much, to be eligible for food stamps! How's that for good hard work?
Anon 7:33 I expect your degree is in some really compelling area - like social work or Egyptian Art History. If you really thought any ole degree would do, welcome to reality. Maybe you should have tried a dicipline in demand - math, sciences, engineering, computer science. But no - that might have taken some actual work for a degree!
Working for the State of Texas and are $500 over for food stamps? You must not be a teacher...that $500 wouldn't be in your way.
