And I Didn't Have A Desire To See The First One

This from the Dallas Morning News movie section: "So why would any Hollywood [executive] ever greenlight anything but a cheapo horror sequel or remake? That's the lesson of Saw II. [It's] $31.7 million debut with a measly $4 million budget is a license to print money."

It continues to boggle me as to why so many watch this stuff. I believe it's mostly teens and young adults - but why do they spend real $ on this?

I'm not big on horror flicks, but, I've had several friends tell me they had to sleep with a light on for a few nights after they saw this one. I guess it must be really scary.

I saw (hehe) the first one, and it was good...a different, bite my nails and squeeze my husband's arm the whole time kinda good. I, for some reason, like scary movies that are actually scary, minus the cheese. I'm definitely going to see SawII. By the way, DOOM is pretty good as well!
