My spouse and I have flown to Knoxville and Nashville several times in the past year and rented cars and taken in the sights of eastern Tennessee. It is a place of beauty and this picture can be replicated hundreds of times all over the area. We love our little perch on the hill near Cottondale but we're tired of FIRE ANTS, months on end without rain and red clay soil. Neither my spouse nor I are from Texas nor have either of us ever lived in Tn. but I think that's where we're headed. But our many years in Wise County have been among the best of our lives.
Kentucky, Tennessee and almost all states northeast of them are stunning during the spring and fall. However, I have found that it's not the weather that brought me back and will keep me in Texas, but the people. You will not find better people than those in Texas...although I may be just a little biased.
This little picture is just dandy. But I've experienced so much more beauty in so many other places (none in Wise Co) that this just remindes me that we must make the best of what we have - even if it is Wise Co.
