You know, I like the liberal comics (Al Franken is at the top of my list), but Bill Maher just irritates me. He seems so angry that there is nothing funny about him.

You know, I like the liberal comics (Al Franken is at the top of my list), but Bill Maher just irritates me. He seems so angry that there is nothing funny about him.

He used to be funny but I agree he misses the mark now. Not sure what he is so angry about.
Al Franken is funny but irritates me too. I still like Stuart Smiley though because, he is good enough, and smart enough and gosh darn it, people like him.
Yeah I agree. It seems like everytime I watch him on television-no matter the topic, he knows exactly what he's talking about. I guess that irritates me a lot too.
I have always thought that Al Franken was full of hatred, and I've liked Bill Maher. I really don't see him as angry, but as passionate about his beliefs. I don't agree with him on most of his political beliefs, but I do think he is really funny. I can accept his show for what it is - political comedy and satire. When he gets in trouble is when he becomes full of himself (like all celebrities) and thinks he knows it all. As a conservative, though, I love watching his show.
I'll take Bill Maher over Al Franken ANY day! Al Franken embodies liberal propagandism...Bill's definitely an old crank, but I like his true "frank"ness.
