(Please tell me you get the joke from the headline). The story:
"President Bush's decision to make White House counsel Harriet Miers his second Supreme Court nominee upset Hispanic groups that had hoped to see the nation's first Hispanic Supreme Court justice. 'President Bush has again ignored highly qualified Latino judges, attorneys and law professors who could serve the nation ably on the United States Supreme Court,' said Ann Marie Tallman, executive director of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, after Miers' nomination was announced Monday."

President Bush Don't Care About Hispanic People
(Please tell me you get the joke from the headline).

But he do care about gay people. Watch carefully on this.
George Bush cares about big corporations who gave him big campaign donations. What is the common thread in his two appointments? They represent big, powerful business!
He campaigns as a conservative but he acts like a big business president.
VOTE FOR PEDRO!
If you follow this line of thinking then he doesn't care about:
Asian Americans
Native Americans
Handicapped Americans
Midgets
Blue Collar Americans
How stupid. Everything has to be a quota for you liberals. Thats why every news cast has to have a black, a woman, a hispanic and a white. They have to be PC.
And 7:00am, the reason most of the appointments have business in their backgrounds is those are the people who get things done. Would he appoint some class action tort lawyer? No way. He wants to stop the abusive lawsuits that make your health care premiums cost $1,000.00 a month.
In regards to 11:00 AM's comments, I agree with you on the news anchors. This is even more evident with the field reporters. If something's going on in a black neighborhood or with black people, you'll see a black reporter. The hispanic reporters cover the hispanic stories and the asian's cover the asian stories.
Correction, make that the comments of 11:30 AM
-12:06
I am a public school teacher and my premiums are already over $600 (on it's way to $1,000)
I am certain gays, followers of Islam, and thousands of other groups were disappointed that one of their annointed were not chosen either. Too bad.
