Maybe I'm Not Liberal After All

I've never been a fan of personal injury lawsuits. I don't mind people being "placed back into the position they were in" before they were wrongly injured, but I hate people trying to get rich off our much maligned justice system. Which brings me to this story. Fox 4 News cameraman Larry Rodriguez has finally filed his lawsuit against (former) Texas Ranger pitcher Kenny Rogers. As much whining as he was doing after the incident, you knew it was coming. But get this: He also sued the Texas Rangers claiming they should have known Rogers boneheaded tirade was going to occur. Triple sheesh.

I think most personal injury lawsuits are kinda slimey too. Like the one against McDonalds because the coffee was too hot. I think some are justified but usually those aren't the ones that get the big money.

kenny's a jerk for doing what he did but the camera guy is far worse in my book. i hope the rangers bury him in legal fees.

Everybody including the camera guy just needs to GET OVER IT! I have been hurt far worst than that, if he even got hurt at all, and I just laughed it off!

That is not it. It is the principle of things. The camera guy never even so much as received a "I apologize" from retard Rogers. The incident did cost him time off of work, because Fox 4 told him to stay home for 2 weeks-which he was not reimbursed for. In a weird sort of way it was the Rangers fault. They knew Rogers' history. Why they let him come here I still don't know. They knew he is like a time bomb about to explode-and that is what happened.

For once your right Barry. as Don Henley said:

From the album Hell Freezes Over (1994)

I turn on the tube and what do I see
A whole lotta people cryin' 'Don't blame me'
They point their crooked little fingers ar everybody else
Spend all their time feelin' sorry for themselves
Victim of this, victim of that
Your momma's too thin; your daddy's too fat

Get over it
Get over it
All this whinin' and cryin' and pitchin' a fit
Get over it, get over it

You say you haven't been the same since you had your little crash
But you might feel better if I gave you some cash
The more I think about it, Old Billy was right
Let's kill all the lawyers, kill 'em tonight
You don't want to work, you want to live like a king
But the big, bad world doesn't owe you a thing

Get over it
Get over it
If you don't want to play, then you might as well split
Get over it, Get over it

It's like going to confession every time I hear you speak
You're makin' the most of your losin' streak
Some call it sick, but I call it weak

You drag it around like a ball and chain
You wallow in the guilt; you wallow in the pain
You wave it like a flag, you wear it like a crown
Got your mind in the gutter, bringin' everybody down
Complain about the present and blame it on the past
I'd like to find your inner child and kick its little ass

Get over it
Get over it
All this bitchin' and moanin' and pitchin' a fit
Get over it, get over it

Get over it
Get over it
It's gotta stop sometime, so why don't you quit
Get over it, get over it

I have to agree that I don't think the photographer should have been hit. I don't think he suffered much but I think ole Kenny gets disciplined somehow. You can't go around doing that.

Since the Rangers "should have known Rogers boneheaded tirade was going to occur," maybe they should ban ALL media from the field and only allow them to be 100 yards away at anytime the team is practicing/playing as to avoid this type of incident in the future. While I agree that Rogers is a jerk and shouldn't have done what he did, I have a hard time seeing the Rangers having responsibility prior to the incident.
