I passed through Mineola, TX a few years back on the way to Shreveport and they still had a people to people show on the local radio station. A caller actually had a pair of matched love birds for sale or trade...ahhh the laughter that ensued. Lots of pit bull pups being traded/sold that day as well.

Southeastern Oklahoma has a "tradio". You can get anything from coon traps to mason jars.
It has been years, but I still remember the old farmer caller who was thinning out his flock of chickens. His comment on the radio was that he had an old cock for sale or trade. He stated that he had trouble getting his hands around the old cock, since it was still pretty spry Now that he had a firm grip on it, he was not turning it loose until he received a fair offer for his old cock.
