Are you being sarcastic or do you agree that lowering rates of taxation will stimulate economic activity and raise the levels of personal and corporate income as to yield within a few years an increased – not a reduced – flow of revenues to the federal government.

As far as the "issues"
illegal immigration - not an issue - has already been determined to be illegal. plus illegal immigrants are virtually the only source of cheap labor available here in the U.S. republicans are all about cheap labor.
abortion - not an issue. has already been decided on by the supreme court. only really an issue for those who continue to want government to interfere with peoples' personal business. republicans want government out of our lives.

If you will watch the video on that page, you will see that the "Obama's last day" "2017" is a scare piece designed to motivate people to defeat Obama in 2012.
Does anyone realize that all (at least most) of that government debt has been paid to people who worked on some job. Those people spent that money on various products (the economy). When we decide to terminate those programs, those people will become unemployed. Thus the economy will be further impacted. If the tea idiots get their way, spending will indeed be lower and the economy will be depressed for everyone - even them.
Without significant changes in taxation, government spending cuts are meaningless unless Social Security parameters are changed, Medicare is modified and defense spending is greatly reduced. This means it will require sacrifices from YOU.
Issues smishues. Just look at that list of the "best and brightest" the Republicans can offer. Sorry, Obama looks like a lock in this race. But they will need a constitutional amendment to keep him there till 2017.

Were this a tax then the only way you could refuse to send in the $21 is if you chose the alternatives of a federal tax lien, wage garnishment, federal prison, etc.. If you care about abortion or illegal immigration then write it in the box "other." I want to know if you still believe Obama is a shoe in for relection since Bin Laden was killed on his watch. 12:14 - what you seem to be missing is when the government spends $$ on projects or programs, that generates a paycheck for some business and its employees. This includes military paychecks, FAA checks, Food & Drug checks, etc. It does also include unemployment checks - they all get spent in the general economy (and they generate some tax revenue as well). If you curtail these programs, you reduce the general economy (maybe even your non-government job will be impacted).
