Wise County Tea Party Going To Houston For Day Of Prayer

(1) And although Perry probably believes that quote, I don't think he said it. It's just part of the promotional material for the event.

(2) There may be plenty of room. There are reports of only 8,000 registered for the 71,000 seat Reliant Stadium.

(3) I had the leader of the Bridgeport Tea Party yell at me from his car the other day that "The Tea Party is an all inclusive organization!"  I think he meant ethnically, not politically.

Wouldn't that be an embarrassment for Gov. Goodhair, if nobody showed up. Interesting that he decided to hold it in the city of his latest political opponent.

In this day and age, you would think there would be satellite events around the state, like at Jerryville. I guess that would only dilute the attendance numbers in Houston and cost more money.

Let's see if I have this straight: this is a call for prayer and fasting, "but there WILL be limited food and drink available."

You demorals crack me up. You want to bitch and make fun of something like this but have no problem with gay/lesbians acting a fool.

Irony, coincidence or counter-programming that the AFA's "Day of Fasting and Prayer" will be held during Ramadan?

Foolish people.

If the baggers are all-inclusive does that mean if you pray according to tenets outlined in a text other than the biblical book of Hoyle you are still invited? Will prayer rugs be provided?

I love the TEA Party for the discomfiture they bring to the sworn enemies of our country and way of life- libs.
I mean really- thank God for them.

This isn't an Islamic nation silly twitwad.

It is Christian and distinctively so and you've lived taking advantage of this fact all your little life.

You don't have to be a Christian to live here, but again you reap the rewards of Christians past and present.

You should pay money just to stand in our shadow.

It looks like the Tea Party has been co-opted. Originally, it was billed as a group focused strictly on fiscal issues. Now they are drifting off into religious fundamentalism.

11:58 Using the term "acting a fool" sounds a little gay to me.

Actually, Gov. Perry's comments were very close to the quote. You can see them on You Tube. If you hear the event being promoted on the American Family Radio station, you have no idea it is Perry's pre presidential campaign event. Some of the speakers have been taken off the official website for "the response" due to crazy and anti Catholic comments they have made.

Look everyone knows that the New Testament if you read it correctly is all about creating jobs and getting people back to work!

Can someone explain to me what the relationship between liberals, conservatives and religion have to do with each other?

According to the comments on this blog; if you have religion then you are automatically conservative and if you don't then you are liberal. Is that correct?

Hungry prayers are LOUDER!

"You should pay money just to stand in our shadow."

When did Jesus say that?

The Devil said...

Does being the head of the Bridgeport Tea Party come with some official title like President, Grand Dragon, Imperial Wizard, Imperial Kaliff?

Hungry prayers are LOUDER!

No no no no. It's "fat girls give better head because they're hungry."

Nobody cares how loud they are.

Remote: no cuz I am conservative and not religious.

Second thought: why can't everyone just stay home and pray if that's their deal? sounds like an excuse for a baptist road trip to me.

Why can't the gays and lesbians stay home too?

Of course not 2:05 we need all the help we can get get so bring your ole gay self on.

We need more fabulosity.

I am always amazed how most religious discussions revolve around "I'm right & you're wrong" or "My religion puts me closer to God than you & your beliefs". I guess I had a deficient upbringing, because I was taught that faith was not a foot race competition. Instead, it was an individual's journey toward Grace. Silly me. Forgive me, O Lord.

Darryl, if you think that there is more than one way to heaven, you cannot be a Christian.

Period.

You know I find it funny that atheists and agnostics whine all the time about how offended they are and how they are oppressed by Christians but as a Christian I get bashed multiple times everyday. I am starting to get very tired of having to worry about offending everyone non-Christian while being assaulted everyday by those people. How about you stop offending ME!

The reason we aren't seeing good republican candidates for president is that nobody really wants to live in a house after niggers have lived in it

A Talibaptist and Teaslamics gathering. What an event! Plotting to destroy the United States no doubt. Teaslamics get their 72 unused teabags, Talibaptist can pretend they they have no gays in the ranks. Good times for all! And if Perry is able to have his secession dream for Texas, it can be just like the middle east in the middle south of the United States. Entrepreneur capitalist, set up those burqa shops now! They will be needed. Perry should get the death squads lined up. They will be needed also.

12:23 Read the Texas Monthly article about Rick Perry's Army of God supporting the event. Self-appointed apostles are the generals in Rick Perry's army and we have some in the Wise County Tea Party that has an agenda of bashing gays and demonizing any one who supports abortion. Fiscal responsiblity, limited government and free enterprise is not Rick Perry's Army of God agenda. The end-time Pentecostal religious radicals intend to take over government and every part of our lives to perfect the church before Jesus comes again.

Now why would mainline Christians want to join in with a group of end time nuts?

If we thought Rev. Wright's Black Liberation theology was weird, wait until the liberal press discovers the New Apostolic Reformation movement, led by Wagner from Colorado backing Perry for president.

The group is organized like a politcial campaign and has done a good job infiltrating the Tea Party in our county.

I'm sure as soon as Perry throws his hat in the ring, we will be hearing a lot more about this group.
