What a poor excuse for parents. I don't care how old these boys are now. I'm sure this is the direction their parents sent them at a very young age.

I just read the press release sent out by the Sheriff. The guy in the top left corner was a former inmate that the Sheriff put to work when he got out. He screwed that up............I think the Sheriff has a good idea helping people find jobs when they get out. Tony Jones is a dumb ass for cooking dope and working at the Sheriff's office thinking he would get by with cooking dope.........hang 'em high.......

Good question 1:27 PM--People have gotten to calling them "trustees", but that's not right. The correct term came out of slang reference to a "trusted inmate" being a "trusty". A "trustee" is a person who manages a legal trust. In fact they are not even pronounced the same. "Trusty" has the accent on the first syllable, and "trustee" has the accent on the second syllable. My mother (an ex-English teacher), goes nuts when people (including journalists who ought to know better), refer to jail trusties (plural for trusty) are referred to as trustees. In fact, even jails get it wrong often, and print the title "trustee" on the back of their uniforms. There you have it, the ultimate geek explanation for your question!

jones didn't do a good job, he was shady to begin with but he'll be a trustee again here sometime soon. way to go wise county for hiring a convicted felon who probably brought in contraband into the jail. They arrested 7 other people at their house other than members of the family.

I recognized that lady as one of the walmart employees. She's been there a long time. Always seemed nice.
I work at the Jail and can assure you that Jones and his entire family will NOT be "TRUSTY" inmates ever again. Walker had a meeting with the Jail Administration and made it clear, and I mean crystal clean that Tony Jones WILL NOT be a a TRUSTY or TRUSTEE....matter of fact, Walker told us that if Jones was even considered to be a TRUSTY that our job would be over at Wise County. I have never seen Walker pissed, but I did just the other day and he was pissed.
Montague County is so lucky to have the new sheriff who learned how to spend money here at Wise County on the jail! It will be a million by the time he is finished because every remodel is a million!
Get ready to pay more taxes because this new sheriff got his training here where there is NO limit on how much is spent!

I KNOW I am better than that band of meth cooking/selling criminals who have added to the burdens of countless people who have bought their toxic sludge. I will sleep better knowing that a household chock full of criminals is behind bars. If you cannot see that the parents of those two young men are, to a great degree, responsible for the ruined lives of their children then you really are out of touch with reality. The Jones Gang made the personal CHOICE to participate in criminal behavior, that harms society, thus I have no sympathy for any of them due to the position in which they have put themselves.
If you want to feel sorry for someone, feel sorry for the taxpayers who are footing the bills to house, feed, clothe, prosecute, defend and guard the scumbags.

What happened to speedy trial,etc...sounds like the Wise County taxpayers paid for 3 meals a day for this guy for three years insted of sending him on to the state pen because he was a "good hand'. My believing that I am better than others is not due to ignorance it is due to a value system vastly different than yours. If you do not believe you are better than people who prove themselves to be a blight on other people and humanity there is something wrong with your self-esteem and your value system.
