My favorites are the ones with the "if you don't like it then leave" mentality and the "why don't you go to Russia" emails.
Of course I disagree 100% with what he said, but he still has a right to say it.
Taking the "if you don't like it then leave" position seems to me to be the exact opposite of the principles this country was (were?) founded upon and is a very lame rebuttal to an opinion one disagrees with.
Calling him "nigger" or "coon" is hardly the way to get your point across, either. It only makes them look dumber than they really are.
Some people in this country are real pieces of work.

I believe it was Mr. Howard who intertwined race and patriotism in his remarks. Of course, I'm sure he was taken out of context and it was probably another "black thing" that the rest of America does not understand. I don't condone the over the top racial hatred expressed in some of the emails but in my opinion, he deserves to be richly rewarded with all of the responses. Another example of taking responsibility for one's actions.
Howard is mentally challenged.

Howard is an idiot, a pothead and possibly a racist himself... Cuban is even more of an idiot for still supporting Howard (or JHo as they call him). Trade him, cut him, whatever but he's a thug and only hurts the Mavs both on the court and off. Interesting that the Spurs have 4 rings and the Mavs none with pretty much equal talent... does maybe character and team chemistry have something to do with that? hmm... (and I'm NOT a Spurs fan at all!)

im glad those e-mailers all held back on there thoughts. i would hate to see how they really feel about a black guy who disrespects our country.
The first thought I had listening to the responses on the Ticket this morning was "He brought the race thing into it to start with."
But I agree with 10:31, that the racial attacks on him are unwarranted.
It also confirms a rant I had on here recently about how Wise Co is a microcosm of the rest of the world. People say we are so racist here. Well, look around the rest of the Metroplex. The race thing boils up when given any opportunity, especially when it is anonymous (however, some of those folks didn't see that coming). It could also be that it's just all the folks in Wise sounding off about JHo. But I doubt most of the rednecks commenting on here could find their way out of a virtual paper sack. And I mean the REAL rednecks, not you pretend ones.

Didn't read them all, as the first 10 I looked at were pretty dead on. Let me get this straight, It's ok for Josh Howard to freely express his anti-patriotic thoughts and link them to his race, but it's not ok for other people to disagree with his opinion and disparage his race?
Liberals seem to promote tolerance for differing views unless they disagree with them, then they pull the political correctness viewpoint, or even easier...play the race card. Riiiiiiight....

Well, Howard made sure to mention he was an Obama supporter... that's my fear. Since Obama made such a stink about our flag being nothing but a symbol and he doesn't belive in symbols, more and more black followers are spouting the same! WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF HE BECOMES PRESIDENT??

Howard is a microcosm of the black community. If you think racism doesn't exist in this country, just go observe a group of two or three black people. Don't worry, you won't have to get too close.....they'll be loud enough for you to hear.
