I can't believe that old toad got someone to kiss him!

At first, I thought this dude was the one with the stick-in-his-throat, down-in-the-canyon guy, (who I recently saw on "I Survived" or something similar), but then I paused, and thought, maybe he's the guy that used to fight with Andy Kaufman, but then I reminded myself, he's just a POS lawyer, not Jerry Lawler.

Funny how the mind can play tricks on you sometimes. Especially on LLFTLODQ.

Jerry is one of a kind, thank god.
Remember, he pulled off the sentence reduction in the Rebecca Simpson case and got sued over the Martina Navratolva/ Judy Nelson "prenuptual agreement".

He did not get cited for kissing. What horrible writing. He got cited for assault. What if the headline said, instead of kissing, "Fort Worth attorney cited for breathing" and then in the body of the article it states that he was found breathing over the dead body of someone he just murdered. It's not the kiss, it's the context.

I am sure he will never feel any consequences. He is just another egotistical lawyer whore. They get away with everything.

He did, basically, get cited for the conduct of "kissing." It's a goofy law called "offensive touching" that just happens to be under the "assault" statute.

So, yeah, you're right and the reporter is right. He's charged with "assault" but the conduct that gave rise to the alleged assault was "to-wit: kissing the court reporter on the cheek."

It's a Class C misdemeanor. Punishable by fine only.

I sat in that court room of that trial of Carter's. One of the most heartbreaking things I have ever witnessed. I could not stand Jerry Loftin at the time...attempting to defend a man, who made a choice to drink and drive, killing four very innocent lives and changing the course of these families lives forever. I certainly didn't not admire his position. Tragedy for all.

Religious people who demand vengeance instead of relying on "Vengeance is mine, says the Lord" tire me out.

It may surprise and shock those those people but, nothing will bring those girls back and the more they try to make someone else suffer, the emptier they will feel.

Those of you who lawyer hate, think about our great nation without two sides of a fight. Lawyers are there, defense and prosecution, for a reason. This adversarial system is what separates us from third world nations.

I just find it amazing that just because the defense lawyer was good and fights hard for his clients, then he is a whore or some other unpleasant description....

So I guess you would be happy to have all defense lawyers suck and lose all the time. They would be OK then, right?

Stupid people give me tired head.

I like the people who declare ALL lawyers are slime and ALL lawsuits are BS --- until they need a lawyer themselves for their own case. Suddenly they are able to find a "good" lawyer.
