Stick with it. At the halfway point it all becomes clear.

There has got to be a way to work liberal weenies into this.

Really good. Looks like it took some work to make this work out.

This guy is definitely not a supporter of Oreobama Hussein. We all know liberal weenies don't hold there hand over their hearts and participate in the singing of the national anthem.

hey 7:15..........
you may have just convinced me to become a LW. It's starting to look like all this flag-waving and blind allegiance you condone might be what got us such an ineffective electorate.

George, you will not be missed.

Allegiance IS blind in a way you silly commentor. You may have missed the point there George Mcgovernment.Being too willing to tear our country down, obsessing about being viewed as a flag waving syncophant and on and on is what is hurting us in the middle east.We spend so much time arguing about the trivial stuff ( although the fact we can is a sign of how good we really have it here) that sometimes we can't pull together for the big things, although we might be fully capable of dealing with them.Or at the very least it looks as though we can't.
We think we can bad mouth our government, support the troops hate the war, play armchair general, accuse publicly our president of lying etc. and still be patriotic. This is the exact opposite of patriotism. We see this as a God given right and as such feel like these views should be whipped out every chance we get.
People who live in primitive Muslim countries see this behavior as weakness. Some of the most effective propaganda used by Jihadis is based on what is said, done and broadcast by people from our own country. The middle eastern mind processes info. differently than westerners. Info. in print or broadcast sources especially from more or less "official sources" that although would be considered ridiculous by western standards of truth may be accepted and acted on wholeheartedly.

If folks would stop worrying for 5 minutes that if they don't scream aloud how much we suck their freedom to do so would be eroded, we'd be unbeatable. As such we'd have fewer people willing to step up to the plate and take us on.
Here's your bonus thought for the day. Want to see how ignorant people can be of American history, mind set and politics? Some people say one of the negative results of the war in Iraq is that we're bogged down in Iraq is we can't deal with Iran militarily. Obviously first problem is the people who say this aren't the type to want us to do anything in/to Iran in the first place. But past that understand if the US is pushed hard enough that the situation demands an attack we'll drop Iraq like a bad habit using the lessons and experience gained in Iraq to smoke Iran like a Christmas ham.
