Very Random Traffic Thought

That goofy back road that you have to take to get to all the restaurants near Western Center Boulevard was not well planned. You know, exit Western Center, hang a left to go under 35, and then hang a quick right at the dry cleaners as you sneak through a tiny entrance. Only to then navigate a winding road with tons of pot holes.

Saw it driven last night by a massive new pickup at a ridiculous speed while jumping a curb. And I got to see the driver stop at a restaurant as his wife and baby got out. Sheesh.

I know what you're talking about. It's just awful trying to get to the movie theater or any of the restaurants. Once I was with a girlfriend who wanted to go to the quizno's right there on that corner--I thought we were going to die before we got to the movie!

Amen--poor planning. Think of the amount of traffic FORCED to use that road, and then think of its design (or lack thereof), and it boggles the mind!

One thing to note, that is not a street. It is a driveway for the businesses you are driving behind. Everyone uses it for a street, but technically it is not (look at Google maps without the satellite image and you will see it is not there). The businesses are responsible for its maintenance, not the city.

Hey, those overcompensating dudes in the huge trucks are bulletproof. Didn't you know that? Oh and the left lane on 287 belongs to them... apparently.

We FORCE our employees to use that road straight to the Concentra for drug screening.

That is a private driveway, not a city street. The development company is the one that totally blew the planning, not the city.

No need to be eating at any of those restaurants on that road/driveway anyway.

Why eat at On The Border when you can have Joe T. Garcia's or El Rancho Grande?

Why eat at Shady Oak when you can have Railhead or Angelo's?

Why eat at Macaroni Grill when you can have Italian Inn or Sardines?

Why eat Braum's, Denny's or Wendy's at all?

The cougars you are looking for are across the highway at Boston's.

We were just there a couple weeks ago and they had actually fixed a number of the larger potholes! We were very pleasantly surprised. You didn't notice??

There are cougars at Boston's?

Some of the Cougars have broken legs from stepping in the deep potholes crossing back and forth as they check out the different restaurant Patrons.

I was thinking the same thing, Gorilla. Hell, I wouldn't leave gawd's country to drive thru Decatur (oh that smell sometimes) and merge onto I-35 from 287 (a potential death trip for sure) to eat any of that schlock.

Hell, I'd rather pick up some nice sirloins or ribeyes from Fischers and cook 'em right here at home!
