Oh dear.
And only 16 years after the Band-Aid Incident -- when I was hostessing there as a teen, we were kept busy during slow times with things like cleaning the bathroom (sans gloves) and neatening the laminated sheet that was marked with grease-pencil X's for which tables were occupied, etc., and of course, tidying the salad wagon. Once, I found a used band-aid in the giant vat o' iceberg lettuce; I wanted to dump the whole thing and start fresh with a clean bowl, and I suspect the health department would have agreed with me, but the Hostess Boss made me extract the band-aid and say no more.
Also, FYI -- cops get 50% off their bill, never ever tip, and consider your teenage ass their reading material for the duration of their visit ... ugh.
Please let it be true I hate that white trash grease pit!

One of the current employees of KBob's said they were told on Monday that they are closing Sunday.
That place needs to close. I refused to go back ever again after my last visit. It took forever to get waited on.While waiting on our food we noticed roaches crawling on the wall next to the table. The food has gotten horrible over the last couple of years.
This is one of the very few KBobs that were still open. Most of them closed years ago.
FYI I don't think ever cop looks at the teenage ass there for reading material! Also I've never gotten 50% off my bill.
Great now my cholesterol will be going down.
Good Riddance. That place was nasty. Maybe the Golden Wok is next.

I too am a police officer... What do you mean, "and I still tipped"? I hope you would idiot. You must be a WC Deputy. You should always expect to pay full price and tip. If they cut your bill, "nice", but do not expect it...

2:54 First of all,my tying the fact of not getting a discount and "Still Tipping" was poor sentence structure and not meant to infur that if I don't get a discount you don't get a tip.
I don't ever expect anything although merchants who show their appreciation for what we do for the community in the form of a discount is always appreciated but never expected.

4:23 p.m. even the Starlite (later 1989-1990 Chisholm Steakhouse gave officer free meals). K-Bobs never did either, even after saving the restaurant from burning down in 1994. That is a gratitiude of owners and operators that appreciate when the police is there to catch their robbers, thiefs and unlock patron's vehicle. Not one officer expects it, but it does occur as long as it is not ABUSED.
Every restaurant has roaches and other insects, your on house does too. U don't see all of them because they come out when u are sleeping or not home. On alarm calls or open doors on the real shift (deep nights) I lit up Armondo's, Raymond's (now Sean's), McDonalds, Jack-in-the-Box, Subways, and all others. U would understand why these owners pay dearly for insect and rodent problems when u see them scatter after midnight. MISS THE K-BOB'S.

8:05pm, How do you know that we are getting a Cracker Barrel? That's all we need is another place for a redneck round-up. Is this another rumor like the new movie theater in Chico a few years back? Or the Wendys, HEB, 84 Lumber, Albertsons, CVS, Walgreens or Target. When their doors open, then and only then will I believe it.
I believe that Cracker Barrel only builds on Interstates. Not sure but someohting to check into. I had also heard on e was comming but then it was told to me that they only will build on Interstates and US 287 is not an Interstate.

I have been eating at the new cafe downtown...cabbage patch...and you can get just about anything you want there, for a reasonable price....even if you are on a diet, they usually have 7-9 salads to choose from daily plus they have a hot lunch special each day....give it a try....
