Why would anyone like Clinton? All he did was make the country rich w/ the domestic agenda and play grab-ass in the white house. Now, if he would have been pushing for privatization of the schools, Soc. Security, EMS, etc., he would have been a good rebublican we could all love and respect.

It's about time a Democrat had the balls to speak up and say something. Clinton is the first past President to stand up with a current President to help. Why do you think Bush wanted Clinton's help anyway? He needed backup. America is much worse off now under the Bush administration than it ever was under Clinton. His morals with regards to sex had nothing to do with being President. He was a great leader and we were ALL much better off. Wish he was back or one like him.
Clinton doesn't agree with the US borrowing money from poorer countries, Korea and China to pay for the war in Iraq and to rebuild New Orleans.
Also, he said the US borrows from the Middle East...so he can have a tax cut.
Guess I miss the balanced budget under Clinton. That seemed right!
Now, we just pay for everything with a big credit card.

If sexual fidelity is the test for leadership, then lets think about a few of these:
Thomas Jefferson: Sexual relations with Sally his slave.
Ben Franklin: Got around in France with the ladies of the French Court.
Franklin Roosevelt: Died with his mistress near by.
Dwight Eisenhower: He and his female secretary were an item during WWII.
JFK: Liked his lady friends.

I would agree with you that leadership and morality go hand in hand. What you don't realize is that Bush has no greater claim to morality than the people I mentioned. The truth of the matter is that neither the Republicans and Democrats offer us very much in the area of leadership.

I think old Bill was treated shabbily and I think old GW is too. It is time to quit running down our leaders. They are human, they have faults but the bottom line is that we elected them. Yours can't always win but tearing them down and attacking them really serves no purpose but to create division and strife.
A wise man told if bill got elected second term we would see the true bill why? because he could not get elected a 3rd time. WOW did we see the true bill yuck!
No, I don't miss him at all. That said, there's not many a politician I do miss when they leave these days. It's sad, really sad. I hope that we will find a true statesman one day soon, someone who stands up for people and can bring the middle together. However, I'm not sure it can be done with the volume of media outlets and the bias that comes from the media (bias from both sides I would add).

Thank GOD George W. can't run again. At least Clinton did his job up until the last month. W. never did anything first term and not only does he do nothing - but he destroys what good had been done prior to his leadership. He has certainly caused more division in the country than ever before. Hats off to Anon 12:33 and Atticus!!!

The political cartoonists, late night television hosts, and Rush Limbaugh all miss the clown. His ineptness wrote material daily for them. The decent, moral, common American will never miss him.
I'll tell you what. I guess its fine that all of you conservatives like to bash Clinton. But you could at least come up with a decent argument other than the fact that he got a hummer in the oval office. Aside from his extracurricular activities, he was a good leader....which is evidenced by the fact that you can't come up with anything else to slam him with. At least his IQ was higher than his shoe size.
Forget it, bigcatdaddy.It is going to take a repeat of 1918-1933 before the majority (because most who know and remember are dead) of the people in this country understand what leadership is and what is at stake, and from all indications we are headed there in one hell of a hurry.(1 indicator: Historically , severe economic downturn has been immdediately preceeded by a sharp upward spike in energy cost to the consumer)
We will never see the sort of economic downturn that we saw during the depression again. That is why we teach history in schools, so we don't make the same mistakes twice. So your idea is great in theory, but it will unfortunately never be proven. Also, energy costs alone are not enough to push us into a depression(I've had enough college economics classes to know this).
The thing to do is Pray for all our Leaders and ourselves. Cast your cares on Jesus. Refuse to fear and you can enter the rest.
There is always going to be people displeased with the President,it is a no win situation and I for one wouldn't want the job of President. B!tching and moaning don't help, he was elected. If you have a problem with democracy you could always move to another country. With so much hostility toward the "horrible state" of America. I say it's still the best country to live in the world, if you don't like it, leave.
I really don't understand what you Clinton supporter's think he accomplished. He gets bashed for his low character and the fact he road the wave Ronald started. If you have had your economics classes like some of you claim then it should be no surprise that there is very little if anything a president can do during a term that effects the economy. For a majority they are long term factors except for the war, terrorist attack, katrina all of which Bush has had to deal with. Clinton sucked and there is no other way to put it.
I'm not a republican or democrat, I generally vote for the person that I think will do the best job for our country. I voted for President Clinton on his second term and voted for President Bush for both terms; however, I have come to realize that several mistakes made by Clinton are currently impacting our government today. One of the most serious errors President Clinton made was not accepting custody of Bin Laden when offered up by Sieria. There is a taped conversation between President Clinton and Sieria in which President Clinton basically said that there wasn't enough information to confirm that Bin Laden was responsible for the first bomb at the World Trade Centers or the blast that killed seveal seaman on the Cole. I don't know that the apprehension of Bin Laden would have prevented the airplanes flying into the buildings, but it probably would have been a good start.
I'll tell you why I was a big Clinton supporter - I just started college when he pushed the Hope and Lifetime Learning Credits through, which I benefited from trememdously. It seems as if all the repubicans do is cut the higher education budget, which is what happened in Texas a few years ago, causing tuition to skyrocket.
