Years ago I worked in a hospital pharmacy- we wouldn't even sell that stuff to physicians for use in their clinics which were literally across the street from the ER for fear of guilt by association.
The use of Diprivan/propofol requires specialised training,monitoring and resucitative equipment and advanced cardiac life support certified staff (at the very least). My understanding is none of this was available.
