Sincerity at its best. Knowledgeable leader....at his best.
We're in a world of hurt!

Wow. Seriously, Rick? I can do better than this in a debate. Drunk. High. Whatever. Just pull me up onstage. Even my kid can do better than this and she's 4 years old.

Put in some friggin' prep time you jackass. The sad thing is I bet he isn't even the slightest bit embarrassed by it either.

Well, bless his heart.

If he only had a teleprompter.....

There are so many to pick from...it's easy to get confounded!

Bye Bye Rick. The late night comedians hate to see you go.x

Ha Ha. The Puggle vote has kept this man as the Texas governor for years. They will support him if he is the presidential nominee. He is GOP and that is all that matters, whether he does not know shit from shinola does not come into play. Puggles don't care as long as he waves the trunk and cross tusks flag.

I'm surprised he can still walk after shooting himself in the foot so many times.

Perry is a sick joke. So he can't think of the third whatever he will do away with IF he becomes President?

EVERY TEACHER in America should send that idiot a letter.

ESPECIALLY, TEXAS TEACHERS!

I would say Rick had a brain fart, but then he would first have to possess a brain, so......

Makes you wonder how he was elected when he refused to debate his opponent.

A natural moment that happens to everyone once in a while -- but not on the biggest stage in the world, when you're vying for the most powerful office in the world. The debates have not been Perry's friend.

My goodness...the thing is, he is right. Education, commerce, and energy need to go.

Education has FAILED. An F. Since the dept was formed, the quality of education in the US has plunged.

Commerce? Just about gone. Rather than boosting commerce, the dept has destroyed it, asking why?, rather than why not.

Energy? We are just about out. Rather than helping develope more and better sources of energy, lowering costs, they are killing traditional energy, before renewable energy is ready. Therefore energy costs are shooting up.

Yeah, save that $200 billion per year and get rid of those three.

Maybe he needs a teleprompter.

Perry was toast when, in his first debate, he expressed support for in-state tuition for illegals from across our southern border but out-of-state tuition for citizens from across our eastern, western and northern borders. He continues to slide downhill like a snowball headed for hell. Toast, burnt toast.

He just LOOKS so darn Presidential.
I mean, that guy is ready to be carved on Mount Rushmore!

If they could swap his brain out with another candidate's, he'd be home free.

6:59, the difference is that in-state residents live in-state, whether they were brought here illegally by their parents or not. Out of state residents live out of state, and therefore would not be entitled to in-state tuition.

Hell, that's one of the few things Perry has done right.

The only thing sad about this is the national perception (and they may be right) that he represents, as our governor, the best and brightest Texas has to offer to the nation. So very sad.

He is Texas personified!

Its almost as bad as President Big Ears calling people in the Navy corpse men.

The department of energy performs vital functions for national defense. You can't do away with that. Those activities would have to be moved to another government department, and so very little money would be saved.

The real gaffe is that Perry said he wants to do away with the Department of Education.

Adios mofo

One problem with in-state tuition for illegal immigrants is that it gives government approval (and incentive) for breaking government laws.

Anonymous said...

wk
x It doesn't approve anything. It says if you have lived here for seven years and graduated from a Texas high school, you can get in state tuition. The fact that some illegals happen to have those qualifications does not condone anything. It is not the illegal alien tuition law, it is the in state tuition qualifications.

200 - The practical application of the policy is that illegal aliens know if they get to Texas and stay long enough without getting caught, their children benefit. There's the incentive. That the government legally authorizes giving undocumented aliens the lowest rate indicates the government's approval. These students may be wonderful people and great students, but when they graduate from college, they are not legally able to work in the United States. Rather than correct and prevent illegal behavior, the government is sponsoring it.

Am I the only one who doesn't see this as a big deal?
Anything is refreshing after watching our current idiot try to speak.
