Ya know, we keep hearing how this stuff is safe with no impact on the environment or little concern for the health of the general public, but then I ask myself: When was the last time I heard of WATER THAT WOULD BURN!!!!!

11:32 Do a little more research before you speak will ya?

Anonymous said...

Yeah 11:32 do some damn research!! It was the lightning that was dangerous and caused that fire! Not water you idiot. That water is so safe if it had not been struck by bad lightening it would have never caught on fire!! Why the good old state of Texas (TCEQ) makes sure all those wells are more than safe.

The Star-Telegram says it's a non-producing oil well.

I call it an unscheduled wiener roast.

12:05 Again, do some research before you look like a bigger fool.

Anonymous said...

Yeah 12:05 don't you know salt water burns.

You fools don't seem to relize that these wells and the gas industry bring in a lot of money and jobs to the local economy. If they screw up the enviroment and shit all over us and our land we should be grateful and thankful.

2:02, was that sarcasm or authentic Wise County back-country philosophy?

My Other Brother Darryl

PS - The late great Red Adair could have sneezed & put it out.

Only a fool doesn't know what components that are commonly in salt water wells.

Only a fool would make idiotic statements and not research this.

Yep. 3:42 you are correct. Salt water wells have a lot stuff besides salt water in them. "Salt Water Well" just sounds much better than “dangerous, volatile, cancer causing, environment harming shit barrel.

Anonymous said...

4:03 if your statement is correct wouldn't EVERY SINGLE LIVING BEING in State of Texas have cancer or does this “dangerous, volatile, cancer causing, environment harming shit barrel only pick and choose its victims?

You only hear about the victoms if they are Not getting a check from the ole dangerous wells. That stuff is pumped down to about 1 1/2 miles under high press. and it can't get to ur water well unless it's that deep. it can only harm the enviorment if it's spilled or it is on fire.

Does anybody if there was ANOTHER explosion last night Nov. 8 about 7 or 7:30 p.m. near Boyd or Cottondale or Keeter? I heard something loud, only once, and thought maybe it was related to the gas well on fire. Can anyone help?
