4%?

I can't stand the guy, but I find this hard to believe. Story.

Right there with you, BG. The guy is horrible, but I don't believe that he only pulls in 4% of the Republican vote.

That makes me a 4%er, but mainly because of who he would be running against. However, I am still looking for the Republicans to drag up a rockstar candidate! We need someone with a checkered past, questionable birth record, hopefully a person of color, prefereably a female that is either bi-sexual or lesbian but a gay man will work as well. I just really want people to realize that color, gender and sexual orientation does not matter to the majority of Republicans! I will vote for a drag queen as long as he will create any more entitlement programs. Someone that believes saddling our grandchildren with debt and enabling the poor to get poorer is not the answer!

Not that I'm for him, but against the current president. Anything but what we have!

That article is misleading. If you go to the Texas Tribune website, you will see that the poll asked Texas Republicans who was their "preferred presidential nominee."

The poll does not ask whether Texas Republicans would vote for Perry, either in the primary or in the general election. The poll includes several people who have already announced they will not run, such as Mike Huckabee, Donald Trump and Mitch Daniels. Plus, Perry has repeatedly said he is not running (but of course he said he wouldn't run for a third full terms as governor, either).

So in short, the headline is misleading. I hate Perry--can't stand him. But it is deceptive to say only 4% of Texas Republicans would vote for him. I'm afraid Texas Republicans aren't that smart.

90 per cent of the women polled in Wise County said that they wanted to be polled again. Preferably a 10 foot poll.

I lean right but I consider Perry a failure. I am tired of politics when the real problems stare us in the face. Pre abortion sonograms? please. Here in Dallas, I thought driving on highways was part of freedom. Not here. It costs money to drive these roads. All representatives should be fired.

I'm with the majority of republicans on this one. Perry is a slimy, self-serving politician who doesn't give a flying f*** about Texans or Texas. No way I think he should be considered for President.

I have never met a Republican in Texas who was crazy about Perry. I mean someone who REALLY supported the guy.

In a general election against a Democrat, they'll vote for him. But given a choice of another conservative, he doesn't set the world on fire...

Still, 4% does sound really low...

Can this person also run for DISD school board?

4% is a pretty good alcohol content for lager beer. A little light for ale
