Liked Rhadigan as a TV Sportscaster, but he was a lousy play-by-play guy. The Rangers really screwed up when they shopped their radio affiliation to the highest bidder. When the mighty WBAP stopped being their flagship, folks who followed their games across the southwest stopped caring. Big mistake. Yes, 50,000 watts of radio power do make a difference.
I thought the josh and tom combo was greatness. I listened to john and he was not spontaneous and did not work well with tom. Kind of like what mark holtz sounds like today.
I am in austin now and everyone in a while have to suffer through the astros play by play and it makes you go straight to reruns of jersey shore.
Bring Josh Lewin back!!!! I loved listening to Josh and Tom, especially during some of the ho-hum games mid-season. They would talk about some of the most random and obscure stats. I loved it.
You are so right, 2:56PM. I'd be soundly asleep while the hubby was watching local network TV news/sports, and that dude would wake me right the hell up - his voice sounds exactly like finger nails scratching on a chalk board. Never did like the Rhadigan guy either.

I was just getting used to Lewin and then he was gone. Now Rhadigan? Bring back Busby and Sunberg-that was entertainment.
