@ 2:58, for one it is "were" not "we're". Two, drugs and alcohol should not be capitalized. Three, and most importantly, stop asking that question. Just stop.
This person has a family and they are grieving during the time people should be rejoicing. Let our prayers and thoughts be aimed to his family and the others that have been lost.
Awful that there is such sadness during this holiday season. I hope this person is not someone you all know. Many NISD teachers/staff do come from this area. Barry, please keep us updated. Thanks!
His death is a great loss for Northwest ISD. He was an excellent board member and quality human being. He cared greatly about the district and children. Not every district is served by individuals with high ethical standards for their personal behavior. It is time to pray for his family. Yes, he was a great family man!
guess they're keeping it quiet for the kids, so they are not so shocked before word gets out. kids today are spoiled brats. no wonder, between parents who treat them like kings and queens and board members like this one, they don't know how to control themselves.
Well only the higher power decides who is good or bad. But, we all have opinions of which it is. I say call it as we see it. I'm not afraid to say what I think. However, I try to stand by if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything.
You can only hope that when you have taken your last breath and your days are done, that someone, anyone would have somethhing nice to say about you, your life, or your contributions to others. However after reading all of this, I'm sure that some of you won't have to worry about that....
Over my life time I have always treated other people with respect and I dare say many of them would have nice things to say about me. However, I don't really care what they say about me now, or when I die. I won't be worrying about anything then either.

It affects Wise County because a lot of Wise County kids go to North West schools.....

Where is a link to confirm this? Can't find anything on the net except for here.
Lots of talk/texts/emails flying around about it....I heard he ran a hose from his exhaust pipe into the window of his truck.
Nothing in the update about this either. Link please to more info on this?
Was he from Chico?
Sad to lose a good board member when there are so many crappy ones out there!
One listing for funeral for a Newark guy found in the update. I'm guessing that must be him. 46 Sad!

Native Texan
I knew him. He was a dedicated Board Member for NISD, who had the best intrest of our students at heart. He was a good family man that will be missed.
1:00 That person died Sunday and is said in Decatur. Also was an AA Mechanic.
The NISD site does not show him as a board member/trustee.
Why are we all good men or woman when we die? what if he was a ass like that cop would he be a good man when he dies?
