I've been a loyal reader now for a little over a year and I just want to tell you thanks -- because of your posts from Costa Rica, I had the vacation of a lifetime in Puerto Viejo. I would never have gone there without hearing about your trip. So although we've never met, thank you my friend and keep it up. Best of luck to you and the family this year. Oh, and you have to post that old Cleveland Browns letter that is going around -- the response to a lawyer's letter. It's hilarious.
For the New Year, how about a new blog tradition? In addition to a Random Girl, how about a Random Pet from the Wise County Animal Shelter? They've got a facebook page with weekly (or so) postings of photos of available pets. Those people do a great job, but they've had to put to sleep several adorable animals because of a lack of room. Maybe some "blog love" could help save a few furry lives!
Though I get mad to the point of cursing at the sexist comments on this blog about "hottness" I truly enjoy the opportunity to voice my beliefs and frustrations with life in general. Thanks for the venue. You save many of us a bill at the therapist!
Thats just shows what people do at work when they need to be working not blogging... Kinda slow on the weekends isn't it BG? Lol
That would be nice 2:58. It might save some of their lives. Poor babies did not choose to be brought into a loveless world.thanks to responsible owners. I am sending bad, bad karma to owners who mistreat and abandon their animals.
Honestly, I'd rather look at cute animals than young women....so very male oriented and juvenile. How about changing the format now that you're married and perhaps see that there's more to life than T & A?
Proves the old proverb, there's no accounting for taste. lol
I would love to see animals instead of young sluts! Great idea epic.
So what did I win?
A suggestion for 2:58----------Join PETA. Devote your spare time to saving fur if it makes you feel good. Most of us aren't really interested in your feel-good irrelevance on the blog. We come here to debate important topics and generally be mean to each other. When are they going to wake those little critters back up? Or did they not really "put them to sleep"? Maybe in reality they just killed them, ya think?
6:58Yep-they killed 'em. "PTS list" is how the shelter terms it. No thanks on PETA; I love beef too much. I don't care much one way or the other about fur. By the way, could you please share with us some of the "relevance" you've shared on the blog? You just sound like a bit of a snot to me.Also, don't end a sentence with a preposition. It should be "wake up those little critters." Sorry, that's about as mean as I can muster right now. But I really don't care that much about the preposition thing either.5:05I wasn't suggesting that the photos of the girls go away (the boy-children won't read if there aren't pictures,) I just think shelter pics might be a nice addition.I think Barry should ask the women in his life for their opinions. You know-family bonding over which pet pic to post.
Peta kills 99.98% of the animals it takes in.It is not a shelter,it's a business. Can you imagine how many animals would be out there if they did'nt.They killed so many a few years ago they were ashamed to put them in their own dumpster.Their employees were caught spreading them out over the city.
anyone remember what caused the spike in hits from the sixth through the tenth?
I had no idea your blog generated so much traffic, but congratulations on it - I look forward to it every day.I enjoy the comments from the illiterate rednecks (actually, not so much) to the intellectual (MzChief) to the very, very witty (Triple Fake and Darryl).Because of your blog, I discovered Crazy Texas Mommy - that gal is a hoot!Looking forward to your 2011.
Congratulations on the traffic, Counselor. You sometimes aggravate but always entertain. I second Epic's idea. I would feature the animals which are closest to death row as your Random Wise County Pet of the Day. With the traffic your little blog generates, your faithful LL readers could spring a few good puppy dogs and kitty cats from the joint. Take it under advisement.
120,000 a month, eh? Well, I guess everyone else has the other half of the hits besides mine!Great job, always enjoy the blog, Barry.Love,Gern
You will get more hits if you have young girls in fur coates that you will with PETA add's.More stories about Super Cop Tom Bishop and the freakin Turf war at DHS.
Don't get so excited Green, this only proves there's 3 people with a serious case of OCD that read your Glob.
Love the idea of a daily picture for a local pet in need of adoption!!!Happy New Year to you, your family and all your readers!!
